Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
Wishlisted and I will even preorder the moment you guys make it an option.

I thought I’d been following this closely, but I had no idea British Sea Power was doing the music. The Decline and Fall of British Sea Power is the best nautically themed album title since Rum, Sodomy and the Lash. Hopefully all three of those things will be in the game!

Also, now you guys have absinthe? I thought JarlFrank said you were all super abstemious. Yet the game is full of better living through chemistry. You were just hiding the good stuff from him, weren’t you?

It's weird to point this out, but the title of the game is really good. Creative, descriptive and has a ring to it.

Good titles are especially welcome in a time where every title sounds like "rise of brotherhood: revalations"

I don't need to preorder. I'm sure I kickstarted this game at the $20 early bird level a few years ago. It just has that feel. Expecting my Steam key by PM any day now.

this comment is late but regarding the stuff about whether or not it'll approach "novel quality" I would say PS:T is easily above most genre novels and if you don't believe me simply go read a page from one of those #1 best-sellers from james patterson or whatever the fuck: they barely qualify as actual books.

i don't think anyone should be worried about No Truce w/ The Furies "achieving novel quality" as that is something that is actually fairly easy to do in today's market...

The developers and No Truce with the Furies have high culture aspirations I sincerely doubt anybody asking about "novel quality" is referring to novels from the decadent, insipid and sordid entertainment industry. Not that there isn't lovely aspects to that thing but it doesn't make it less silly.

There are numerous lists for upcoming games, but this one especially struck a cord with the last few posts here on this board:

Stephen Turner: No Truce With The Furies

Trying to describe No Truce With The Furies to an audience is probably the hardest thing I've done in a while, not counting the last 3 months when I was training to be an English teacher for foreign students (trust me, the Past Perfect Simple is not that simple in practice). That said, I love a good challenge, so here goes nothing!

NTWTF is an isometric CRPG set in a hyper-realized/fantasy world, where you take the role of a cop who battles his foes with conversational skills and his inventory is a memory palace comprised of itemised thoughts. And as long-time readers know, I do love a good detective story in my games.

There's something hugely ambitious No Truce With The Furies, taking familiar gaming mechanics and dressing them up in something unexpected. It sounds bizarre on paper, but once you see how it's all put together, it's actually far more accessible than you'd think. Hopefully, this one finds an audience beyond the niche crowd because everything about the game, from concept to artwork, is clearly a winner.

This brings up something I usually never wonder about: how ARE mainstream gaming websites about games like this one?

When you send them press materials via email or whatever the fuck what has been the response?

I usually just assume game companies send a synopsis with the article written out already + goody bag with doritos and a crisp 20$ bill.

They don't cover indie stuff cuz all their space is reserved for Activision, Zenimax, EA etc. who pay mega bucks.
