In the Naryssa's Palace, you can use the scrolls, not spells, to resuscitate the companions who are killed by Naryssa; it seems that for the game you completed their quests, even if you didn't. Also, shield of faith and armor enchantment do not work if you save/load.

but the thing that really bothers me is the loading time, which is really absurd, due to the Unity engine being garbage.

Saving time is equally shit, shittier as save file grows, makes loading screens 2x longer after chapter 2.

When exiting pitax, i got lizzi narration and a new picture for irovetti death , then week further after doing events, i get the message pitax is winning the war despite irovetti being dead. Not sure if it will work after that, i do get next step for the curse but absolutely nothing new to explore nor new events. Also cannot annex pitax of course.

Quite playable right now, but the thing that really bothers me is the loading time, which is really absurd, due to the Unity engine being garbage.

Most of the hate Unity gets is unwarranted, a lot of shit is being developed on it - sure, but the rest has more to do with project management, having programmers with relevant skill set and... how accessible it is, which attracts a lot of unreasonable people (upper management types and publishers) with unreasonable expectations of how long it takes to actually build and playtest a proper ass game. P:K is a pretty big game, especially at this day and age, besides it was clearly rushed to release, so yeah.

Owlcat was founded in 2016, so for two years of development (I'm sure there was some work being done prior, but I doubt it was comparable to an effort of a proper studio) the game of that size and scope works about as well as it could. First PoE had the same problem with loading times, but they mostly fixed it in Deadfire, so it kind of confirms that Unity might not be at fault here, or at least not completely.

Is this Cleve fight bugging out for anyone else? Sirotek seems to be totally invincible.

Managed to do it on the 4th time by not killing any of his adds.

We all laugh about the fact that they used Unity as game engine, but to be honest it is the competence that matters.

Tristian not having the healing domain is one of the many examples of "Owlcat doesn't want you to have nice things." I know he's bugged, but even if he wasn't; the Good domain? Really? Come. On. What a terrible pick. Fire + Healing is way better, his deity even has access to healing. Free Empower on all cure spells? Hell yes.

Tristian is what caused me to splurge 18k gold and create a custom cleric..... after adding 18k with a save editor
There is a strong and prevalent suspicion that he's meant to have Good/Healing, because he's missing his secondary domain. Him not having Fire makes sense to me, but I think he should absolutely have had Healing/Glory or something like that.
The stocks was just basically gaol with the added humiliation factor. You were locked up in a place that other people can see you, so they know who you are. Some places allowed others to abuse you while you were in the stocks, even physically, but it is not a far fetched thing that a Lawful Good society would frown on physical abuse of people in the stocks. Being an open and public affair, it would be an even bigger deterrent to crime than a closed gaol where all sorts of things can happen out of sight.

There is nothing inherently Evil about the thing. Or executions. So long as it is done according to the law.

What is Evil is allowing rapists back into society after a slap on the wrist punishment so that they can rape again and even escalate to murder.
Exactly. The stocks might not be GOOD, but they sure as hell aren't EVIL.

  • New pack of typos and localization fixes. Missing CN characters (踝豹鹤) are added.

System
  • Sometimes Steam Cloud Sync could overlap with save loading, resulting in bugs and possibly corrupted saves. Resolution: fixed.

This hotfix happens to be a big one – more like a patch, in fact. A big and important feature comes live in this version: from now on, you can choose between different Kingdom region upgrades - which become available
together with the new state of your capital, the city outfit.

Finally, there is one more thing we at Owlcat wanted to talk to you about.
Unfortunately, there is a downside to the speed with which we solve newly-found issues - to be completely honest, it doesn’t leave us enough time to test all of the game thoroughly after each fix. It takes a whole week at minimum to test every aspect of our complex game, so delivering 2-3 hotfixes each week leaves our team only enough time to check fixes locally. Still, we know this is no excuse for issues that persist in the game, as well as those that are added with some of the fixes. Every bug report we receive literally tears us apart with the feeling of guilt for not finding and solving the issue before the game went live. As such, we want to be open with all you Pathfinders, so that you understand our philosophy and our current pipeline. Right now we feel it is more important to keep fixing critical issues as quickly as possible, rather than to stop releasing hotfixes for about 2 weeks and focus on a big patch.

Once we are sure all major problems have been addressed, we will get back to a more stable, "patch-oriented" development approach.

Thank you for your patience and your support! That is what keeps us alive and kicking.
No fix for any of my bugs and the introduction of fucking atone scrolls. We're rapidly heading into popamole central here.

I'm loving the stats on those "Tongi" and "Falcata" weapons. Any good specimens by any chance?
I found a very good Falcata at the end of Chapter 2:
Decapitator +2, Keen, Furious (acts as a +4 weapon when raging or under the effect of the Rage spell)

If loadtime bother you - check your save folder size, it could be it's 5 Gb already. Delete all unneeded.

Why would folder size matter when savefile itself became 70 mb...
It just does. Unity apparently doesn't have any native/integrated save/load state stuff. So as the number and sizes of saves rise, the slower it will be for the game to read any of them. It was the same in the Shadowrun Returns games.

It's pretty harrowing to think that an intensely buggy game also encourages you to have as few saves as possible.

So I went to Oleg's after finishing the Womb dungeon and Bokken dropped dead. Is there a fix for this (I'm on version 1.07)? Does he keep bringing me alchemy goodies regardless?

Also, has anyone found the 10th piece of the Forest Knight's Bracer set? I double checked a few guides and they're all missing that last piece, just like me.

In the Womb of Lamashtu, in one of the rooms North of the entrance I believe. Right near a piece of Forest Knight bracers.

Well it shouldn't. I'm a compulsive save deleter; only keeping 1 manual save + auto saves & quick saves. 70 mb per save(atm) and 500 mb whole folder. And when I try new characters and save/load in early game, it saves/loads pretty quickly despite being in the same folder :P
