What ever happened to that Novella we were supposed to get with Deadfire?

Berath demanding of me to show my Watcherness infront of random thugs is still cringe. Ydwin references events that are yet to transpire. Anyway, question - can I get Vatnir immediately after going to his island or are there fights before that? I'm eager to replace my last party member with him.

There will be a big fight right after you talk to him which is basically death for early levels.

Well as Deadfire may demonstrate, there's no reason they can't offer both. Especially if the engine work has already been done, it's just tweaking new things at that point

If they make a third game it should absolutely not allow both RTwP and turn-based. They need to focus on one combat system and make it as good as possible. Preferably turn-based.

NOBODY IN THIS THREAD PLAYS THIS GAME
Well, I do. Inching towards lvl 15 so I can make a savegame from which I will play each of the last two expansions.

Yes but that's at least relevant to why game's plot is the way it is.
Have you been serious about that stuff all this time?

I think you guys are underestimating how soon this will be released. It's completely finished as far as I can tell.

I don't think it's coming before the console release.
The TB mode is definetly real, and that's definetly the finalized UI. Obsidian are proud of their crappy WIP user interfaces and they always put them in the final version, haven't you learned by now? It's also proof that the clip and images aren't doctored. No one can mimic their style of unintuitive, impractical, hacked together UI design.

RTwP is ok, just TB is better for the most part. I have no idea how a game designed for RTwP will work on TB, this will be reverse-IE.

Also accept it, TB is for senile people that's why they know they need to make game TB for it to sell on consoles.

Deadfire is not designed for RtwP, it is a turnbased(or round based if you will) game with simulatanious turns that for some godforsaken reason plays out in real time.

Best writing in RPGs '2018, strong independent weapons vendor edition:

- How'd a human end up serving with the Royal Deadfire Company?
- Heh. Everybody's always gotta ask. Not that I blame them - it is a good story. I was seeing this guy - let's call him, oh, I don't know, Kono* Kono and I'd been carrying on a while when I started making noise about wanting to move in. Frightened the boy so bad he went and joined the Royal Deadfire Company in the middle of the night. Thing is, I'm a deft hand with a throwing knife, and I know my way around ten kinds of blades. So I followed him into the service. Pulled my weight, got on a good ship. Kono eventually left to go to poetry school or what have you, but I stayed. Haven't heard a complaint yet.

* - yep, the writing is so good you can actually feel the boredom and lack of imagination of the person who wrote it

Hasongo's better than Fort Deadlight because it's less complicated so it doesn't bug out

Hosongo is as good as Fort Deadlight.

This game is p. good actually, there are few rough edges where they wrote more than they should have but it's decent overall. I don't know what you people are complaining about.

You're the only bipolar person I know whose radical polar shifts last months at a time.
