The hype is reaching dangerous levels.

And then you have The Outer Worlds releasing in 2019 as well.

Doesn’t bode well for the sales of this game imo.

Yeah. 2 rpgs in 1 year is going to be a very crammed market.

It is. Especially with Outer Worlds taking up all the oxygen in the room. Niche games like this need word of mouth to spread. When everyone is talking about a AA game by famed developers in a time when AAA disappointments are ongoing, it means less people are talking about some little known game that has a weird/original premise, is made by nobodies, has changed its name twice and even the final name is strange.

A game like Kenshi is doing well preciaely due to word of mouth. And in a year in which there was a dearth of good or big rpg titles, it kind of was perfect timing for them.

Not to mention that you also have Anthem, which will likely occupy even more story tards in 2019.

Yes. One big hyped rpg like Outer Worlds could definitely make a big difference.

I disagree. For me Outer World looks like a "false start" is a sense that you know, they can start big and loud but untill DE is released it mean nothing, and "he laughs best who laughs last".
It could be that people will play OW, asknoledge its strenghth and weakness and gladly will jump on DE.

Starting to reminds me of the Michael Jackson side scroller back in the days. With investigation tacked on! :D
