I am honored, King Arombolosh. I have come to Murolosh on urgent business: I need to enter the caves below the dwarven city in order to thwart an evil plot hatched by the dragon cultists!

The deep caves are sealed off and it is my will that they remain so. The evil creatures that once resided there were banished and their route to the surface was blocked off long ago. I will not open the caves.

By a Dragon worshipper of course! Draxasch Echs! Who else would do such a thing? If I ever get my hands on that foul murderer, he'll wish he was never born.

What the Prince means to say, is that we don't know who poisoned him yet. But it seems likely that this evil deed was carried out by a traitor acting on the orders of the enemies of Murolosh. For thousands of years Murolosh has been a bastion in the battle against the spawn of the great Dragons.

How can I help you?

I have managed to identify the poison. Luckily this type of poison takes effect very slowly. But unfortunately the antidote is extremely difficult to concoct. One of the ingredients for the antidote is very rare. Our apothecary doesn't have any glautamash mushrooms, but there should be some in the mushroom caves nearby.

Could you bring us some of the mushrooms? Although it pains me to say this, I daren't trust anyone from the temple at this time. But you are a friend of Prince Arom and enjoy the King's respect. It is simply unthinkable that you could be involved in this crime.

Xolgorax lies poisoned, but there are a couple of short and simple sidequests to perform.

In the tavern is Dwarf wombyn challenging Martin to a drinking contest.

This looks like a real party. But I'm sure I can keep up with you all!

May I introduce myself - I am Angraxa Greatstone! Yes, I am a priest of Angrosh, but I'm also still quite young. My adventures brought me to the Anvil Mountains not that long ago. I am a Deont in Malmarzrom the Hammer Cave in the higher reaches of Drakensang Mountain.

What is this 'Malmarzrom cave' that you speak of?

The cave is the most sacred place in dwarven culture ... and perhaps one of the most remote places in all of Aventuria. The Deonts and priests often come down to Murolosh on errands or to meet with the King, or just to enjoy some good old dwarven company.

What would you recommend - dwarven beer or dwarven schnapps?

By Angrosh! Dwarves have argued about this for thousands of years now. Hehe ... Our beer is quite aromatic, but not too tangy - a nice way to spend a long evening ... Schnapps, on the other hand, is something for in between. It's stronger and makes a good 'pick me up'.

In Murolosh Forgrimm and Rhulana can now finally learn Strike of Wrath. Strike of Wrath combined 3xDP with Knockdown. A buffed up Forgrimm can hit for more than 300 damage with a critical Strike of Wrath with his new hammer.

Murolosh also has the best merchants; a full suit of Dwarven plate can be purchased for Forgrimm.

Not far from the tavern a more intellectual Dwarf offers a sidequest.

"Just the kind of person you're looking for"? So who do you want me to maim, stalk or kill? Or do you just want me to retrieve something that has 'gone missing'?

What? Er ... no. I don't know what you're talking about. Hoho, I'm not looking for any trouble. I'm just interested in hearing your opinion.

It's splendid! He had a number of rare pieces of armor and some weapons that I had never even heard of! You can be proud to have someone like that here in Murolosh!

They had a number of rare items but some of their stock was just plain weird. Their wares weren't the worst I've seen, but I can't exactly heap praise on them either.

I'm quite impressed! Now that I have these ingredients, I can finally craft a few items that I have wanted to make for a long time now. The store was very well stocked.

Finally there’s a sidequest involving the Dwarven girl next to Simbeard.

Oh, it's nothing ... it's just that ... oh, it's enough to turn a mountain into a pile of rubble ... I'm troubled by an old family feud - nothing that I would want to waste your time with.

Hm, perhaps you could explain it to me briefly.

This quest comes down to finding the four dwarves scattered about Murolosh… then find out what they want and redistribute accordingly.

The dwarf called Darelitta is the first that can be convinced to give up a piece of jewelry.

In the cave are the usual vermin.

The needed mushroom is at the furthest end of the cave.

With mushroom in hand Martin returns to Lugosh.

Prince Arom was just here. A number of suspects have been arrested, including a female Bigling who recently arrived in Murolosh. The Bigling lacks an alibi and is also accused of being involved in a number of other crimes.

I hope the high priest recovers quickly.

Oh, don't worry about him. Master Xolgorax is as hard as stone and as difficult to stop as a lava flow. I'm sure he'll be feeling better in a few hours.

And one more thing, Martin Schulz. The King has requested your presence in the throne room when you are finished here. The accused claims to be a friend of yours.

No, I'm afraid I don't. The herald didn't say anything more than what I told you. You had better go. The King doesn't like to be kept waiting.

I'm interested in the caves deep below Murolosh. What do you know about them?

I have already heard of your interest in the Deeps of Gruldur as we Angroshim call them. These ancient tunnels lie far below the city - most of them are even unknown to us. The tunnels are filled with a darkness that is like death itself. Legend tells of a courageous dwarven warrior who descended into the depths ... and met his fate there.

What do you know about the caves?

Our ancestors blocked off the entrances to the caves long ago. A foul curse lies on those caves. Many thousands of years ago our ancestors fought a bitter war against the Grolms - a race of abominable Dragon worshippers. Few records from that ancient time have survived, but this is what we know from our legends.

What can you tell me about the dwarven warrrior who entered the caves so long ago?

His name was Argoram son of Artosham and he was a Dragon Quest Champion many centuries ago. Just as you are today.

They say that when his quest led him into the Deeps of Gruldur he was wearing the legendary Helm of Fire. But sadly, he never returned ... According to legend he was searching for the Grolmian city of Corumbra - a magical city of gold!

Is there a way into the Deeps of Gruldur?

By Angrosh! Today we know little of these things. Apparently Argoram spoke of the existence of "magical gates and entranceways" that he hoped would lead him into the lost caves and eventually to the Golden City of Corumbra. But to this day nobody knows exactly what he meant.

And you say that Argoram was wearing a Helm of Fire?

Yes indeed. He discovered the helmet in the course of his Dragon Quest. The golden helmet bore a pattern similar to the one on your shield. Argoram's Helm of Fire possessed magical powers and protected him from fire.

Corumbra ... the Golden City ... What can you tell me about Corumbra?

The stories of Corumbra are ages old and little more than vague rumors. Legend has it that the Grolms lived in a city full of technomagical machines, where they hoarded their gold and other treasures. But who can tell whether the city ever really existed or if it was merely a tale that passed from one greedy treasure hunter to the next?

If you kill all of the tomb lice in the warehouses, perhaps then you can find a clue there that will lead us to whoever orchestrated the attack. Perhaps that would help clear the Human woman's name?

Ah, excellent! I knew that I was dealing with a true hero! The entrance to my tribe's chambers lies in the central shaft in the middle of the city. I will meet you there when you are ready to march into battle.

Grimbeard in the tavern provides an alibi for Salina after some persuasion.

You know Salina the Mountebank, do you not? And I'm sure you've heard that she is to be put on trial.

Yes, I do. It's a shocking affair, don't you think? That poor, poor lady. I hope the king finds her innocent. It's all my fault that she is here in Murolosh. I saw her perform in Ferdok and invited her to delight the Dwarves of Murolosh with her arts.

Salina claims that your testimony would prove that she was not involved in the sabotage attack on the tunnel. Would you be prepared to testify to her innocence in court?

I ... well ... Arombolosh forbade her from performing. If I testify that she did perform, that would cause all kinds of problems, wouldn't it?

It certainly wouldn't please the Mountain King, but it would be the lesser of two evils. An alibi would definitely help Salina.

Oh, I don't know ... people will talk once word gets around that I ignored a royal decree. And the Grey Beards won't like the fact that a Bigling woman was involved. I ... um ... no ... I can't do that to my family!

If I'm not mistaken this is some kind of bait for attracting bugs such as centipedes, lice and scorpions. It's manufactured in the Khom Desert and is very rarely seen in these parts. After all, who would want to attract bugs? I believe the dark-skinned Biglings that inhabit the desert eat bugs - there is nothing else to eat in the desert except hot sand ...

Do you have any idea how the assassin got past the temple guards with the poison?

He didn't have to. The poison was in the beer, not in the food.

Where does the temple gets its beer from?

Straight from the tavern. Master Xolgorax always keeps a small barrel of his favorite beer at the tavern.

Off to the tavern it is, then.

I come from Lugosh. Apparently you delivered a barrel of poisoned beer to the temple!

Oh I know, I know! Isn't it terrible? I swear I had nothing to do with it! Somebody must have broken into the warehouse.

Doesn’t anybody guard the warehouse?

No, I'm afraid not. We never dreamt that our enemies would ever be able to infiltrate Murolosh! Our city gates and our warriors are always on the alert - all the foreigners entering Murolosh are checked thoroughly before they pass the gates. But we must have slipped up somehow ... and we almost paid a dreadful price for our negligence.

Were there any signs of forced entry?

No, nothing. Whoever picked the lock knew exactly what they were doing. They even locked the door again after they had added the poison to the barrel.

I need to take a look. That’s alright, isn’t it?

I'm not sure about that... The storeroom has been declared off-limits and I'm not supposed to let anyone enter it.

King Arombolosh has charged me with the task of defending Salina. How am I supposed to do that if I cannot examine the scene of the crime evidence?

Really? Hmmm. You really should be able to examine the scene of the crime as her defense. But orders are orders and I can't just give you the key.

It must have been sabotage! I've already found a number of tunnel props that were deliberately destroyed. I want to examine the rest later when all this is over. Right now I need at least another five miners to prop up the rest of the tunnel. Find some miners and send them down here to us.

Looking around for the miners Martin also crosses paths with the very suspicious Aldessia.

Of course. I would do anything to help you solve these heinous crimes. But I'm afraid there's not much I can do to help you - I didn't see anything suspicious.

I don't think much of Mountebanks really. I prefer to make my living with honest work, as you can see. But Salina seems to be a nice person ... But to be honest, we've never spoken and I only know her from sight.

I found a louse attractant from Khom in the storeroom that the stone tablet was stolen from. Is it from your stock?

Absolutely not. Nobody would buy that! But if there was some kind of repellent on the market ... that would sell very well indeed!

When all miners are back with Orgrim Martin receives an important clue.

Martin returns to speak with Salina to clear this up.

But I never went near any of the mining tunnels! That scrap of cloth is from my new dress! Someone must've cut it out of my dress and rubbed it in the dirt. I beg you, Martin Schulz - go to my sleeping quarters and you will find a Dwarf by the name of Ungrimm. I entrusted him with the care of my belongings. He can show you the dress.

Martin enters Salina’s quarters in the city.

I don't think you'll look very attractive in her dress! And anyway, I have plenty of other things to do and I'm running out of time. First I had to endure your endless prattling and now I'm supposed to waste my time finding a dress for you! Where am I supposed to find the time for my real work?

But I am defending Salina at her trial before King Arombolosh!

Salina, Queen of the Mountebanks, is charged with having committed a number of serious crimes against the dwarven kingdom of Tosh Mur and the Royal City of Murolosh. In the course of this trial, I, King Arombolosh of Murolosh, will prove the guilt of the accused beyond a shadow of a doubt.

Let us come to the first charge. Salina is new and unknown in Murolosh, she is a Mountebank with no permanent roots - and that alone makes her very suspicious. Furthermore, she repeatedly performed her arts in front of Murolosh's youth during the last few days, even though she had been expressly forbidden from doing so. With her disobedience Salina planted all kinds of unDwarflike thoughts into the heads of our young Angroshim!

I am also a stranger to this city. Why don't you put me on trial too?

You are no stranger. You are a valiant companion of Prince Arom of Murolosh - my son. I understand your intentions however and I shall ignore this point in my judgment.

High Priest Xolgorax was found nearly dead in his chamber, because someone had poisoned the beer for the temple. At the time of this vile attack on our high priest no one saw the accused Salina in Murolosh.

It may well be that Salina does not have an alibi for this crime. But I can present to you a witness who can provide Salina with an alibi for the time of one of the other crimes.

I call Grimbeard son of Kirolosh as my next witness!

Grimbeard, son of Kirolosh, you have been called as a witness in these proceedings. Angrosh himself is looking upon you from above. Speak only the truth, and let no lie pass your lips. Have you understood?

Salina cannot have been involved in the sabotage attack on the mine tunnel. At the time of the attack she was ... staging a private show ... for my friends and me. I realize that you had previously forbidden us from attending the Mountebank's performance and that we will be punished for our disobedience, but I cannot stand by and watch an innocent woman be punished for a crime she did not commit.

Grimbeard, you knew that I had expressly forbidden any contact between yourself and the Mountebank. And yet you chose to defy my wishes! You will be punished for your actions in due time. But! Your statement does indeed clear Salina's name. I will decide on the appropriate punishment for you and your friends later.

Dwarf Grazima's storerooms were overrun by a plague of lice. At the same time valuable items were taken. Shortly before the deed, a Bigling was seen leaving the chamber. And Salina is a Bigling!

A stone tablet was stolen from Grazima's storeroom. Was it found amongst the accused's belongings?

I have to admit that we failed to find the tablet on her or at her place of residence here in Murolosh. She may have tried to hide it somewhere, although she really didn't have enough time to do that ... Hmm.

A valuable artifact was stolen. Shards of glass that have been identified as being from one of Salina's juggling balls were found at the scene of the crime. She must have dropped them when she broke in!

The artifact is still missing, isn't it? If Salina had stolen the artifact, the guards would have found it among her possessions.

The artifact has not been retrieved yet, but Salina may have hidden it or even sold it in the meantime. She had plenty of time to do so. The evidence is against her.

And finally: A few hours ago a gallery collapsed in the mine that destroyed several days' work and took the lives of good Dwarf laborers. We found a scrap of cloth from one of Salina's dresses at the scene of the tragedy. In addition, a woman's voice was heard, so she must have been at the crime scene!

Look! The scrap of cloth is filthy, but the dress that the cloth was allegedly torn from is clean and tidy. It's as though somebody deliberately placed the scrap of cloth at the scene!

Let me have a look ... Hmm, you're right. That looks most suspicious! And she hardly had enough time to wash, dry and iron the dress afterwards. That would indeed appear to weaken our case against Salina.

Part 62: Aldessia

It’s time to apprehend Aldessia.

Aldessia’s quarters are in a warehouse and are quite expansive. She is found down below.

We are here at the behest of King Arombolosh - you are under arrest! We know what you have been up to, Aldessia!

Under arrest? Don't be ridiculous! It's too late! You can't stop us now!

Aldessia has no weapons but pulls two stone golems out of her ass.

Amusingly, stone golems can be turned to… stone.

The cavalry shows up after the enemies are dead.

Perhaps her records will enlighten us.

Martin also gains the next-to-last piece of his golden armour.

Martin will take a break before stepping through the portal.

Do you know where this portal leads to?

Unfortunately Aldessia's notes don't say anything about where the portal leads to. All we know is that it opens a path into the caves below Murolosh.

Do you have any idea how far Aldessia got with the portal?

She only recently managed to figure out how the mechanism works. By Angrosh - if you'd come much later, she would've been gone already!

Good. Then the time has come for my journey into the unknown ... The secret to the Adamantine Heart must lie somewhere beyond this portal ...

Martin returns to Ferdok to kick out Dranor and add Ancoron to the party.

A while back Martin got a key from Yandric’s corpse… it opens the door to Ardo’s office.

Inside the chest is Ardo’s sword, known from River of Time.

At any rate, Ancoron at this point of the game is already OP.

Meanwhile in the cellar of Ardo’s house, the rock goblin bought as a pet a while back has now tunneled through the cellar wall to expose a hidden area.

There’s just a chest with some silly items inside.

Back in Murolosh, Martin is to step through the dark portal.

The portal leads to a ruined area.

Passageways are closed off by cyclopean doors that can only be opened by a special artifact.

There’s a Dwarven corpse lying around – with the accompanying ghost.

No. I'm as fit as a fiddle! And I hope to stay that way! Who or what are you?

There’s indeed a key on the Dwarf’s corpse. Three are needed in total to open every cyclopean door.

The other keys are hidden in the previously closed-off tunnels… infested by the usual vermin.

There are also some ghost battles going on.

Am I going the right way?

The right way ... Y...Yes... But HE scattered them ... each piece is hidden somewhere else. He wants to slow your progress ...

Who? Who are you talking about? And what has he scattered?

The keys ... HE has hidden them so that no one will find HIS treasure ...

The keys to the other round doors?!!! I'll find them! What else do you know about the treasure? And tell me, who is HE?

The treasure ... HE guards it ... HE is to blame for everything. HE is the worst of the little monsters ...

A bit further are rock goblins, a new enemy.

At the end of the tunnel is the second key, guarded by some fire spirits.

The second door can now be opened.

In these tunnels are Grolms, in undead form.

They don’t look like much but are p. tough. They can inflict powerful poison and spawn a ghost upon death.

The ghost pops up again a bit further in the tunnels.

Were you ... were you killed in one of those battles? Or did you die in one of their traps?

No ... not a battle ... Everyone was already dead when I came here ... What was I looking for? I have forgotten everything ...

Why did the Dwarves and Grolms fight?

The Grolmurim were despicable Dragon worshipers ... How could you forget all that?

The Grolms worshiped Dragons down here? That's strange ... Did you ever see a Dragon here?

HE still prays to them ... but I have never seen a Dragon here ... Or perhaps I have forgotten that as well ...

Wait! Don't just disappear!

Further in the tunnels are more ghost battles.

The third cyclopean key is lying around in another room guarded by fire spirits.

The third and last door can now be opened.

The main task now is to find the Helmet of Fire, the final piece of Martin’s golden armour.

Part 64: Helmet of Fire

Past the third door is an ancient collapsed tunnel that once lead to Murolosh.

What was forgotten?

Forgotten? I don't know ... I forgot ...

I meant: Did the Dwarves forget about the existence of this tunnel and their war against the Grolms?

It is not forgotten ... the knowledge is still there, but most cannot remember the war ...

Wait! Who are you?

The ghost just disappears without answering.

There’s a large stairway with a high concentration of Grolms.

The yellow marked Tetris blocks signify the party is reaching the heart of Grolm occupied territory.

Interestingly, there’s a talking Grolm trying to make the party chase him over some traps.

Up another stairway past a gateway guarded by two golems leads to an overlook area.

There are just some butthurt Grolm ghosts left.

There’s a chest here with the amulet the Dwarf ghost needs.

On the way back eventually there’s a corridor with a fireball spamming statue. There’s no way to disable it or avoid the damage.

The next room contains the Helmet of Fire but it is heavily guarded.

There’s an undead cyclops around.

There are also seven Grolms who need to be taken care of first. Turning the cyclops to stone gives enough time.

The cyclops skull acts as a key to lower the monolith.

The Dwarf ghost pops up again.

You must be Argoram, son of Artosham, the Dragon Quest Challenger and bearer of the legendary Helm of Fire. Xolgorax told me about you.

Indeed! That is my name! My name! At last I know who I am again! My memories are returning to me!

Were you searching for the Adamantine Heart? Were you trapped here because you didn't have any more discs for the portal to Murolosh?

There is so much that I cannot remember ... I know that I wanted to open the Cyclopean door with the key I found in the portal chamber ... whatever I was looking for was behind the door ... then suddenly HE reached out of the wall and grabbed me ...

Do you mean "He, who guards the treasure"? What kind of creature is He?

HE is the master of the Grolms ... a spirit full of rage and madness that still bears his crown! He is more powerful than any of the Grolms you have encountered so far. He defeated me in a ferocious battle, then he tore the Helm of Fire from my head and took my dear Angrosha's amulet, the disc for the portal ... and two of the Cyclopean keys ... I only managed to hide the last key from him ...

Then I presume you only managed to explore part of the cave system ... Did you manage to find the other keys again?

No ... no. I couldn't explore any further. The wounds that HE inflicted bled terribly and I knew my time was near ... But I clung to this world ... I became a ghost and waited here to warn any who might follow in my footsteps ...

Thank you, ghostly comrade. Look! I bear the Shield of Fendral - a reward for my success in the Dragon Quests. Like yourself, I have set out to find the Adamantine Heart. And I intend to complete the task that the Oracle has set the Dragon Quest Challengers. What will happen to you now?

For the first time in centuries I feel ... Hope ... yes ... hope. You should be the new bearer of the Helm of Fire that you successfully wrestled from the Grolms vermin. You are the one who will complete my work. You do not have far to go ... I will await you in the portal cave ...

The golden armour is now complete.

Back in the teleporter room the Grolm cavalry appears but they are not a threat.

The last task is to put the ghost to rest.

Part 65: Mad King

As soon as the party steps back into Murolosh there’s some new drama to take care of.

How on Ethra could that that happen?

If only we knew! It's as though the murderous rage of our foul enemy is reaching out to grasp our very souls. Xolgorax is determined to find out the cause of this calamity. He wants to meet you outside the throne room. I will take you there at once.

Yes, let’s go!

Have you managed to find out why King Arombolosh is behaving so strangely?

Ka roboschan hortiman Angroshim! His strange moods began shortly after you accompanied Prince Arom to Murolosh. I fear that the Dragon's carbuncle may be the cause of all this.

The soulstone? But how?

According to your story the Dragon was a deranged and wild creature ... and now our good King Arombolosh wears the Dragon's carbuncle in his crown. Furthermore ... this terrible curse seems only to have afflicted those Dwarves who spend much of their time in the throne room with the King. And the Soulstone ...

Oh. the foul treachery of it all! Do you think that removing the carbuncle will lift the curse?

We can only pray that it will. Prince Arom and I managed to lock the King and his guards in the throne room. Their conduct was shocking! Prince Arom's Dragonslayers are on guard at the throne room. They will let you in. Once you are ready to enter the throne room, you will have to wear King Arombolosh down until you can strike the stone from his crown.

Do you really want me to attack and perhaps even kill the Dwarves in the throne room?

I'm afraid we don't have any other choice. By Angrosh, we will just have to hope that we can save their lives once the battle is won. But who knows how many more will die if we hesitate now. Gortoscha mortomosch!

How many dwarven warriors are in the throne room with King Arombolosh?

There are probably more than a dozen but I'm not entirely sure. You will have to be prepared for a ferocious fight!

And what should I do with the stone?

Try not to touch it or you will be its next victim! Just wait for me!

It’s now or never…

The quickest and easiest way to progress is to pick off Dorf after Dorf with Master marksman. It’s normally a one shot kill.

All alone, obviously the mad king can’t do much.

When the king is down Arom arrives to destroy the carbuncle.

Your Majesty was bewitched by a demon that slumbered within the carbuncle. But that is all over now. The stone has been smashed to pieces.

Yes ... I remember ... the evil spirit in the stone. I didn't realize that it was clouding my mind at first. And then, it turned me into a marionette. Oh the shame! Ka Angrosch garaschmox! He ridiculed me while I ... while I was forced to watch him poison my people with his treachery!

I saw strange images in my mind. The creature told me how the Dragon Cultists met in the ruins of a castle and summoned him to the carbuncle of a young Dragon.

Sensing the demon inside his head, the Dragon fell into a violent rage. But the demon merely gloated over its deranged antics. The demon knew that sooner or later our dragonslayers would come to kill the Linnorm. And I was foolish enough to have the stone set in my crown. It was all an evil plan hatched by our enemies. The demon was to be the downfall of Murolosh.

You have helped us again, Martin Schulz. You will always find refuge and a place of honor here in these halls. Go to the quartermaster and he will give you another piece of treasure.

You are too generous, Arombolosh! I thank you for your kind offer.

I see that you have found the Helm of Fire. Now we can turn your item into a complete item that will serve you well on your quest. Do you have any other wishes?

I came here to explore the caves below Murolosh and to retrieve an ancient treasure that the Dragon Cultists also seek: the Adamantine Heart. The wearer of this mighty armor can pass unharmed through the Fire Falls of Algormosch and enter the ancient caves. It is my desire to enter the caves.

Martin’s armour pieces are now merged into the Armor of fire.

When we found the obsidian disc I had the strange feeling that I had seen something similar before. It would appear that the Angroshim discovered a similar object during excavations a long, long time ago.

I took the obsidian discs and used them to open another portal.

Did you pass through the portal? What was on the other side?

The portal is different to the one you used. It radiates an intense heat and I suspect that it is somehow related to the Fire Falls that you wish to cross through.

The more time I spent studying the ancient records, the more convinced I was that they refer to this portal and not to the real Fire Falls of Algormosh.

Do you think that I can use the portal to reach Aldessia's Chambers behind the Fire Falls?

Yes, I think so ... in fact, I'm sure you can.

The portal is connected to the Fire Falls and radiates an intense heat capable of incinerating any living creature that dares to approach it. But you will be able to pass through the portal unscathed wearing the Armor of Fire. I'm quite sure of that!

The Armor of Fire is the key to this mystery! It all makes sense. The Oracle of Hesinde has guided me on my journey and given me everything that I need to face the challenge ahead.

I have no time to lose!

Now that Arombolosh came down from his throne Gladys can pickpocket him (hardest pickpocket in the game).

He carries two good rings.

Part 66: Best served cold

It’s time to get vengeance for Ardo and destroy Neisbeck.

Go on, clear off before things get nasty!

The guards are knocked down and the compound entered by force.

Aah, Ulwina Neisbeck. Exactly the person I was looking for!

It appears I underestimated you, Martin Schulz. A mistake I won't make a second time. Just be happy for your spate of fool's luck! While you still live...

Your arrogance and your base intrigues will be your downfall.

Yandric! You survived?!

You really thought you could defeat me so easily? You couldn't be more mistaken. Prepare yourself for the foulest most painful death you can imagine. Now I know who my enemy is!

Me too, Yandric. Except you can't escape to the river this time.

Yandric again goes down like a little bitch but he summons a fire spirit upon death as a final surprise.

Aside from Yandric, there are around thirty Neisbeck guards in total to kill.

The guards are more a nuisance than a true danger.

When all the mooks are down the queen bitch can be confronted.

The mad crone goes on a long, retarded rant – luckily the Gods themselves use a renegade interrupt.

I will put an end to your atrocities here and now! Your good name won't help you when the Regent finds out about everything you've been up to!

Perhaps it was Rondra herself who hurled the lightning bolt.

And that’s the end of that.

Now all that remains is to finish the main quest.

Part 67: Fire falls

Past the portal the party enters a fiery area as expected.

Even in this godsforsaken place, the party runs across some giant spiders.

There’s a side area here with a cyclops corpse and a stone containing a hint at what to do next.

In the corridor is a lava curtain that cannot be passed but it spawns endless fire spirits.

The fire hearts the spirits drop need to be collected.

There’s a door at the end of the corridor but it’s shut tighter than a virgin’s legs.

To open the door the party must return to the place with the cyclops skeleton. There’s an elusive switch on the wall.

Destroying the pillar to push it to the switch opens the door.

In the next area there’s a broken bridge that somehow needs to be crossed.

Three fire spirits spawn here. They are of course easy to kill but upon death they erupt in a fireball… which is not too funny.

The fire hearts the spirits drop must be collected and put inside receptables. With enough fire hearts a bridge will be built.

On the next part of the bridge the same method is used to open the door.

Past the door is a corridor with some Last Crusade like section.

It’s easy to get past, only the eye stones are trapped.
