Can't say when, but we will undo this stuff. Honestly, to me, this is a waste of time and a huge shame. I just don't get it. This fucking intro was made in a 20 minute long brainstorming session to provide an explanation for why the character starts bare ass naked instead of being armed and dangerous like a secret society operative on a mission should be. That is its only purpose. We never even thought of people trying to think about it, analyze it, make suggestions and get ideas about the game by using it :((((((( In my head it was always an intro movie! Like a five minute pizza delivery skit before the porn starts to give it a cognitive reason for starting the way it starts. But now every other review of the game gets stuck on this intro and shits on it and gives us a terrible review score because of it :/ I don't mean you personally, because you have an understandable reason for hating it. Most of us share your opinion and that's why we're going to remove this scene and change it drastically. But still, I don't get it! Who judges games by the intro?? Apparently everyone :/ Oy vey!
Although, this might be a bit too much work, a full quest related to an intro..

Remember this?

The most annoying thing is picking different pieces of paper with notes, names and numbers in different bunkers. You can't tell which is which from a glance after you reorganize your inventory, which is pratically al the time. You need to read one by one, all this in the midst of other letters, notes and whatnot. Waste of time.

I ended up using the dog as a filing cabinet, since all the various notes are weightless, and the dog can hardly carry any weight beyond his armor. So, what we need is for the dog to have folders that automatically categorize notes based on the location where they were picked up. I'm sure the devs can come up with a story reason that Dzhulbars' flesh is melded with an accordion file organizer.

Armour that makes every fight meaningless. Great idea, eh?

Agreed. Power armor would be ridiculous for that reason, and also for existing in a setting where civilization ended in the 1980s. Obviously, realism will never and should never be the strong suit of a game like this, but it needs to stay a little bit grounded in its own setting or it becomes meaningless and silly. It would be more suitable to have a someone like this guy making armor:

Unfortunately, Troy died in a car accident last summer. So now I will never get my bear suit

If we could teach the bugger to read, he could sure the stuff out for us.

Nah, I just want it to activate timed explosives and run at the nearest group of enemies.
This is the real reason why the developers don't let you control companions.

Standin' pretty. In this dust that was a city.
Third thing are the dungeons and quests. We're adding some new large locations
That is generally good to hear. I can't help but wonder how were the locations designed every time I see something like the tiny thug fortress, or when I'm forced to fight on that small mine entrance map, while the other times I get to camp on that huge empty forest map which takes half a minute to even run to exit, yet is never shuffled through combat maps, or when I see the huge ass Old Scrapyard that utilizes only 1/3 of it's centre. Not to even mention the locations of map exits...

Can't say when, but we will undo this stuff. Honestly, to me, this is a waste of time and a huge shame.
Hmm just make the dialogue tests actually change something in the outcome?

Maybe one day, in Trudograd, you will find it
I'd say no to this. PA is a fucking empowerment fantasy. Slav post apo is meant to be rough and brutal, it's good as it is.

I cried, I prayed and I begged for it since before version 1.0, but something in the code stops the guys from doing a quick and easy change.
I hope it works, because the party healing mechanism is by far the most annoying one.

Hello, friends!
Time for another hotfix. This time we made the following improvements:

- Tools no longer vanish when crafting Heavy Crossbows
- Interraction with the Boat added even when Captain is dead
- Changed a few bugs in Dead City (VIL-a and some more)
- Optimized Krasnoznamenny, no more lag
- Fixed issues with Night Vision
- Fixed Grishka bug on the Factory
- Item duplication bug fixed in Tutorial
- Random game crashes fixed
- Prisoner in factory now correctly moves away from player path
- Car no longer gets stuck on Global map

Currently, we have started work on the first big free DLC which will add new locations, new characters, new quests and even some new mechanics. Thanks for sticking with us, guys!

With such low price of game they should really make it payed DLC... make it at-least 5 shekels.

The amount of goodwill and word of mouth they will receive from their fans will compensate that.

Atomboy, I hope your team gives more love to the Red Fighter location because right now is a wasted opportunity. The only reason to go there is to make some ammo. It’s still an empty barebones location, even with the improvements and NPCs. Surprisingly, the only cRPG that managed to do this fortress thing right was NWN2—the game is bad, but Crossroads Keep was great. You have diplomacy, troops to train and upgrade with better armours, patrols, unique NPCs, battles, special missions, etc. It will require a ton of work, but is definitely worth the investment.

Canteens get emptied and magically restore same amount of toxicity as glass bottle and plastic ones despite weighting less than half.

I guess we somehow drink the canteens too, in addition to the water.
They should restore less and not disappear after drinking from them, just give us an empty canteen item instead.

Atomboy what I thinking is - make some base balance and then just give modding tools to community, and then maybe balance after/if vods give birth somehting good, interesting, original maybe.
And you only make new content. Something like this.

That's what I meant.
Empty canteen is added into inventory.

I cried, I prayed and I begged for it since before version 1.0, but something in the code stops the guys from doing a quick and easy change. Probably now, when most bugs are fixed and we started work on a big but slow dlc update, one of the programmers might find the time to make a solution. It's one of those things that should happen 10000%, and the only reason it didn't is because the stupid "only PC eats" is like hardcoded and stuck in there :(
Dunno about the rest of us on the team, but I really loved The Crying way back when I was a college student, as it taught me about the faults of perception and the human urge to give meaning to things and find patterns in chaos. Pynchon came into my life at a very difficult time, when I had no more Vonnegut or Burroughs to read (in my defense this all happened before hipsters were invented) and I was skeptical but reading just a few pages made me love his stuff! So now Trystero is allegedly operating in the Soviet W.A.S.T.E.s. and you (like the rest of the players) probably even worked for it in a few quests without even noticing! I try to keep them reeeeally hidden. Then again, there probably is no hidden Trystero drug&slave delivery empire, that meat guy is just paranoid.

I never looked at the intro as something I was supposed to have a chance of surviving. Perhaps the solution is to just keep the cutscene and remove the dialogue option where you give players the illusion that their choice matters? The intro itself is fine and good. Would be a shame to remove it wholesale.

Regarding the cooking: Good to know it's a coding reason rather than a "misguided philosophic" reason. I can wait patiently. Please do focus on getting it done though, it would make a significant difference.

Also: Just to satisfy my literary discussion needs, are you a fan of Don DeLillo as well? I would imagine any Pynchon fans who haven't read him yet would love him. Start with 'White Noise'.

They could put in power armor. Make the excuse that the nazis made it to the moon and they are sending scouts to earth to see what happened to the earth.

The stuff in the armor shop is level scaled, fucking lol. Pre lvl 10 all he had were shitty leather breatplates. Then the steel one got added. And right after that there was a Cuirass with like 4 DT and now that I reached lvl 13 the armorer JUST SO HAPPENS to be stocking a "Special Forces helmet" and a Bulletproof (7DT) vest. Yeah, totally not level-scaled.

Bandits getting a weapon upgrade COINCIDENTIALLY at roughly the same time. Just a coincidence, not level scaling, lel.

On the flip side, the
deep web quest
is REALLY cool and the game stops being a boring chore after Red Fighter + Junkyard. Game might just redeem itself due to writing/setting. On the system/combat/mechanics side tho...it's nothing but straight up garbage. What is it with THC anyway!? It's like weapon requirements don't even matter. I had 99% THC with the soviet knife at all times despite having a Melee Weapons score of 40-something (knife "requires" 70...except it doesn't). Weapon requirements are also bonkers.

One thing I won't complain about is the lack of "muh balinse" because weapons are economically balanced aka pistols suck balls, but their ammo is plentiful while burst fire AR is BOSS (like always) but good luck stocking that much ammo. Of course
Red Fighter makes everything easier. Just like every player home in every RPG ever
.

Also, what is up with
Alexander?. He is a pretty bad "reward" for high CHA builds since he starts the game with a bunch of ability points wasted on garbage melee. Make Alexander a blank slate like everyone else FFS!
.

On companions: either make an AI that isn't complete garbage, or give us direct control. A lot of perks don't work on companions simply because the AI is too fucking retarded to use them. Eg: aimed shots.

Speaking of Aimed shots...what are they supposed to do? Do they raise critical chance? By how much?

Also...do try to remain a bit more consistent with your translation, please. "Tinkering" is sometimes called "repair", other times "crafting", it's a damn mess. And I think you could easily merge some useless skills like pickpocket and steallth, tinkering + technology, martial arts and melee weapons. Gambling should be simply removed and turned into a Luck check.

My God, the game's system is a freaky mess! Doesn't hold a candle to Underrail.

And here I was thinking that if I work out with that damn dumbbell I'll get 1 STR someday

It will require a ton of work, but is definitely worth the investment.
No it won't.
Better designing tougher/balanced encounters, new mechanics, weapons & armours, new locations with interesting characters and unique random encounters than pouring time and money into something on par with romances.

hey Atomboy , sell the expansion at a price at least as the price as one of these :)

Right, because they are awesome at this mechanics and balance stuff. What I am asking is for more stuff inside Red Fighter, and you want more stuff outside Red Fighter.

They need to improve the locations they already have instead of wasting resources in new ones. Too many superficial locations will add nothing. Less is more if it is more focused.

First order of business is having a non-retarded to-hit formula. This shit that always results in 99% no mater how low your skill is completely retarded garbage. Second thing: make the consequences of not meeting weapon requirements explicit somewhere. Third: give us a solid reason to bother with aimed instead of double-regular.

Suggestion of improvement: being able to attach a bayonet to a rifle would be cool. Rifle/AR + melee in a single weapon slot. That way your melee weapons investment remains relevant going into the midgame without worrying about the fact that you have only two slots. Scopes atop pistols and AR's could add some extra fun, specially if the Sniper-related perks become applicable. More builds = more fun.

Oh, and the perk tree needs some serious reworking. Suggestion: make some perks cheaper than others and do away with the current "cost scaling" system. Seriously, they are not equal, let's not bother pretending otherwise.

What's the point of a slash attack on knives? It does the same damage but costs as much as aimed does. Also, why do self made grenades cost 6-7 AP for some silly damage, while you can buy a much better grenade that costs 4 AP and does double damage, while also having 60% stun chance?

I don't know about the first, but I really wonder why an improvised explosive made from black powder and a can (so, little shrapnel) that you have to activate by lighting a fuse takes longer to use and is less effective than an actual grenade with actual high explosives and a proper fragmentation case, and which can be used by pulling a fucking ring and throwing.
