Geralt does Sleep with Essi. It literally says "they did it". Also, if I remember correctly there are a few incidences of Dandelion and Geralt visiting whorehouses.

Geralt bangs Shani in Blood Of Elves while investigating Rience, so before the events on Thaneed.

Only started reading them recently, halfway through Lady Of The Lake and missing some of the non-main books, but the rest of VoD's list looks solid.

The point is the games misrepresent his character. If you only know the video games you might get the impression that he's strolling the countryside fucking women left and right, takes every opportunity to cheat on Yen, all the commoners that see him start panicking OMG a witcher, hide the women!
It doesn't matter if he slept with 6, 8 or even 10 women in that 20 year timespan, the assessment won't change. That slayer nonsense is just not the impression the books deliver.

Another thing the books misrepresent is the dumb pro-elf agenda. If anything he's pro himself and his loved ones, then pro-Witcher and if he had to choose pro-human. That entire pro-elf, against the racist humans angle which the games push on you sometimes is also not there in the books.

Um, have you gotten to the very end yet? Because you’re missing something kinda huge in terms of Geralt vs racism.

No, he has personal friends among non-humans and he defends them when attacked. That's not the same like that pro elf attititude that especially the second game pushes.
In the books elves are just as racist, if not even worse than humans.

Well, in the end he takes the ultimate pro-elf and pro-dwarf stance. You'll see.

Does the name Passiflora rings any bells?
Yes, while a single example isn't exactly "countless", I remember he was there with Rittersporn (Dandelion?) and this halfling dude to eat and get drunk, then there was some ruckus with a shapechanger and they left. I don't remember a description of fucking large numbers of whores. I might be wrong.
next time I read the books a will compile a list, then we'll know for sure.

I don't mean to be a faggot, but I'm currently reading the novels, you ballbags.

The spoiler function exists for a reason.

So you take your information from that reddit thread?
The only ones I didn't know about from this reddit thread are Lytta Neyd and Mosaic,
Now read your books again before jumping into arguments.

He doesn't sleep with Mosaic. But he does with the girl (Tiziana Frevi) that Yennefer sends after him to deliver his stuff, which is kinda funny in hindsight.

Essi Daven never happened.

I am not sure about this one. Maybe it's my translation (although czech is more closer to original polish) but I got the impression that Dandelion yelled at them to sort out their sexual tension between them, walks way to fish... and then they end up doing it?

Yes, but in the end of the story they all went to Passiflora again, this time to meet the girls!

This discussion went off rails because VoD didn't get the original post I made. let me reiterate:

The story where yen has a dilemma between two guys is an intentional example of double standards. Geralt thinks that yen should belong to him alone, with the lampshade hanging that he, of course, is not that monogamist. That was all I meant.
Double standards are fine when speaking of two different things.

And my nitpick is no where in the books Geralt's described as an ugly fuck, there is nothing about him being an ugly nor handsome dude, it says he's just albino and [for some reason] a chick-magnet, but for some reason CDPR initially made him an ugly fuck then people raged when they beautified/holywoodized him after 2 games :P

Geralt also lacks his headband in the games, which I don't miss tho.

If you read the story correctly, she sends both of them letters saying she is leaving them both.

No, I think he's referring to the other event that is only mentioned (not sure if it's before or after Istredd), when Geralt was living with Yen in Vengerberg for some time, and then one day he'd just up and vanish on her.

Then they meet some time later during a Belleteyn festival and she's still quite mad about it, but not as vindictive anymore.

Yen abandons them both. And Geralt in that story is almost a willing Cuck.
I wouldn't go that far. He recognizes that he doesn't have much right to stop her, because their relationship always left certain things unsaid and he still banged plenty of other girls. He also has a self-victimization complex along the lines of "yeah that's right, hate me -- I'm a freak." It's a defense mechanism he developed to make himself feel like doesn't need to be treated kindly and doesn't care about that anyway. He struggles to overcome this feeling throughout the series.
A cuck allows it just to allow it, or even gets off on it. Geralt was never cool with it.

Does it though? He had amnesia. Women threw themselves at him. It's an RPG, so you guide what this new Geralt would do. It's perfectly feasible to play a totally Yen-centric Geralt once he gets his memory back.

I'd say that yeah Geralt was misrepresented, instead of Polish Philip Marlowe we get Polish Steven Seagal. The voice acting didn't help.
