Something about the character sprite looks stupid and I can't put my finger on it. Colour palette is limited to a single tone? Looks really flat. Old school sprites would fake the lighting and it looked cooler.

What's the deal with woman fighters anyway
this never fails to get on my nerves seeing a woman character running around with heavy gear smashing things, also why does my entire D&D group make female teen characters, wtf

Minds far more powerful than ours have long toiled on the problem.

Alas, a solution is hard to find in troubled times such as ours.

On the other hand, cool, another Souls-clone that will be forgotten in three weeks.

Cool, I was worried this was stuck in development limbo.

You should rejoice: shitty graphics, clunky controls, absolute garbage.
Did you play it?

Yes. For like 10 minutes and then I've uninstalled.

After Risk of Rain 2 and Pathway I decided it's better for my health to stop wasting money on shit games. But this one got my attention as a Souls-clone.

Unfortunately it doesn't even covers the basics requirements for an action game like Dark Souls: I mean responsive controls. It's quite the opposite: non-intuitive and clunky. Good luck with that.

The pixelated graphic is actually fugly and the combat mechanics bare bones. The game did not feel finished. Look at their first update:

Thank you all for sharing your feedback with us! After carefully investigating this problem, we did a manipulation that should have fixed the issue. In order for it to be active, you must:

- disconnect your controller
- restart Steam
- plug your controller

This should allow you to play Dark Devotion without problem.

I don't know. Really bad first impression.

nowadays a female protag means the devs are SJWs, so it lets u know in advance u should boycott their game.
