Developers are apparently our gods and we need to give them gifts. And why we should care?which would just loose money on such sales.

Today is a big day for us here at Psyonix because, just as the headline says, we’re officially joining the Epic Games family.
Your first question to news like this might be, "What does this mean for Rocket League and its community?" We’re happy to say that the answers are only positive. Rocket League always has been and always will be a community-driven game, and now that we have joined forces with Epic, we will be able to serve our community in even bigger and better ways!
We understand that you might have additional questions about this new relationship, which is why we’ve assembled this quick FAQ to answer some of your initial Qs:
"No, really. What does this mean for Rocket League?"
In the short term, nothing will change at all! We’re still committed to providing Rocket League with frequent updates that have new features, new content, and new ways to play the game for as long as you’ll have us.
In the long-term, we expect to bring Rocket League to the Epic Games store and to leverage our new relationship to grow the game in ways we couldn’t do on our own before. We believe that bringing Rocket League to new audiences with more support is a win for everybody.
"Does this mean the gameplay will be different?"
Nope!
"What does this mean for the Rocket League Esports ecosystem?"
We think this is a great move for the Rocket League Esports ecosystem because it significantly increases our potential reach and resources, just like it does for the game itself. We really do believe that you'll find our future in esports to be very exciting -- especially in the near future, where on June 21-23 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, the Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) finals will end our 7th season with a bang!
"What happens to the Psyonix team?"
We are the same team that we’ve always been, only now, we have the power and experience of Epic Games behind us!
One last thing before we go…
The success of Rocket League would not have been possible without you, our community. Your loyalty, excitement, and creativity in supporting Psyonix has helped us become who we are, and we look forward to you helping us for many more years to come. You have our sincerest thanks and appreciation.
I fully expected EGS to not have VAT included in the prices, like some digital distribution US cunts do (looking at you Bandcamp).
Do you pull all your knowledge out of your ass ?I fully expected EGS to not have VAT included in the prices, like some digital distribution US cunts do (looking at you Bandcamp).
from what i know, thats exactly what they do.
Not wasting someone's else money on retarded scammy shit like paysafecard for example, that charges 10-15% for payment processing is giving gifts When normal services charge 2-4% and Epic will pay that from their cut, with no additional charge.Developers are apparently our gods and we need to give them gifts.
When I checked it said "VAT included if applicable".I fully expected EGS to not have VAT included in the prices, like some digital distribution US cunts do (looking at you Bandcamp).

Earlier today, Epic Games announced that it acquired Rocket League developer Psyonix. At the time of the announcement, Epic sent out a press release that read: "The PC version of Rocket League will come to the Epic Games store in late 2019. In the meantime, it will continue to be available for purchase on Steam; thereafter it will continue to be supported on Steam for all existing purchasers."
The statement reads a bit vague as to what will happen to Rocket League on Steam after it arrives on the Epic Games Store later this year. The wording suggests that while it may not be available on Steam, Rocket League would still be supported.
We reached out to Epic Games and Psyonix who have offered this clarification: "We are continuing to sell Rocket League on Steam, and have not announced plans to stop selling the game there." An Epic spokesperson added, "Rocket League remains available for new purchasers on Steam, and long-term plans will be announced in the future."
Furthermore, Epic clarified that support for Rocket League on Steam will continue even after the game is released on the Epic Games Store and players "will still be able to play Rocket League on Steam with all of the content they've previously purchased, same as always."
Epic and Psyonix haven't announced what the "long-term" plans are for Rocket League following its release on the Epic Games Store. For the time-being, Epic says it hasn't announced plans to stop selling Rocket League on Steam. Though clearly, that's subject to decisions made regarding Rocket League's future.
It does not, because even with the 10% processing cost, it is left with more profit than Epic Store by default, which would just loose money on such sales.

Wait untill some new suit get promoted somewhere in the command chain and all Microsoft games will be Windows Store Exclusive.Holy fuck suddenly the rumor of IO Interactive being acquired by Microsoft actually doesn't sound that bad.
I'd rather use a shit platform from a company that's actually doing okay things for PC gaming, rather than a shit platform from a company that think customers are some low life maggots that don't deserve anything from poor prestigious developers.Wait untill some new suit get promoted somewhere in the command chain and all Microsoft games will be Windows Store Exclusive.Holy fuck suddenly the rumor of IO Interactive being acquired by Microsoft actually doesn't sound that bad.
Age of Empires DE is exclusive and Master Chief Collection on Steam can be a fluke and they can easily pull Metro Exodus with it, especially since they don't take preorders.
Unless you suggest that Windows Store is better than Epic Store... :D
Jesus Christ, these fucking journalists. They can't even read. The press release specifically says that "it will continue to be available for purchase on Steam; thereafter it will continue to be supported on Steam for all existing purchasers."They say it was confusion: https://www.usgamer.net/articles/ep...orms-no-announced-plans-to-pull-it-from-steam

And then they say that the statement was a bit vague and it might suggested that the game won't be available on Steam. Fucking idiots, they spelled it out for you, they said "it will continue to be available for purchase on Steam"
