Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire
Question about Sissak in Forgotten Sanctum:
Apparently I should be able to resolve this peacefully if I give him the Warden Contract. I do have this contract, but I can't give it to him, only say that I might look for it, which leads to fighting him
Is this a bug, or am I missing something?
Nobody has got any idea about this?
So I do have to fight them spiders? :(

It was some time but I clearly remember I was able to do it the peaceful way. However you have to pick the right dialogue choices and pass the speech checks in order to be able to give him the contract. I chose to fight them though as its a fun fight against some pretty strong cipher enemies. Don't remember if they dropped anything good, maaaaybe a unique?

This is the dumbest assortment of words put together I have yet seen.
Do you have a problem?

Remnants of PoE team will whip out a quick sequel and Josh will see how long he can stay employed while not actually doing anything.

I'd probably make an expansion that focuses on the events after the Eothas business, now dealing the factions and their struggles with each other, peppered with who you chose to support in the main game. Or maybe make that the next game, reuse part of the map, make a reasonable amount of new maps and focus on the factions. I don't think PoE is going to be a successful franchise whatever they do, soooo.

All Pillars of Eternity 3 needs to be successful is co-op, day one console ports, and turn based designed from scratch. A better story would help too.

Given how fast they created the expansions for Deadfire with only a small inexperienced team, they could probably develop a sequel in two years.

Given how good WMs were Deadfire was gonna be epic too. What they do with expansions that are small and focused doesn't apply when it comes to making a full game.

i enjoyed iron-manning PoE 1, had some fun doing that. I believe the farthest I got was right before entering the elf village, elm's oak i think it was called, i accidentally aggroed some witch-type enemies that could stunlock me with that druid storm spell and that was it for me.

i haven't tried iron-manning PoE 2 mostly because I think the flow fo the game is ruined by the tedious ship-sailing and the overly-big / overly-boring walking around inside Neketaka. Imagine doing 3 hours of Neketaka running around only to get ganked by a random ship-encounter while sailing, lmao.

I generally don't understand iron man for games like these at all. It can can be, and often is, fun for h'n's and blobbers, but to go through tons of exposition, inane writing and your gay companion no.6 approves/disapproves just to enter combat after x hours and die sounds stupid af.

I did Iron man PoE 2 before that ultimate stuff was added in, not doing a full game escort quest though just for the sake of completing the challenge. Escort quests are the quests I like the least in games and that challenge to keep the child alive is pretty much just that. Why anyone would think that particular challenge is entertaining is beyond me.

I hope the thing they learned the most in their post-mortem is that people love their companions and systematic relationship meters aren't as cute as deep, evolving companion quests!
