Rhuantavan Not sure if I missed it gawking at the high-res-but-lo-fi screenshots (I think you're doing a great job trying to solve the various issues involved in emulating a software renderer with some modern-day upgrades, by the way), but how did you get in touch with the actors? I'm assuming you're not paying exorbitant recording studio/hiring fees on your part-time budget?

Also, aside from Tudor-style buildings instantly making me want to replay BaK, I'm now wondering if Antara had any worthwhile additions to that style. Maybe it needs to be bumped up on the backlog, but I've been delaying it since it'll be hard to separate it from Krondor going in...

The actors are members of a medieval reenactment club in nearby Gorizia, Italy. They are all pretty much old-school gamers and were happy to do it for free! Me, lucky bastard. As of recent, I also joined the club. Turns out fighting in period-correct armor and weapons is pretty fun (and scary).

One really needs to be BaK-deprived to play Antara. I mean, I have been in that place myself several times since I finished BaK, but I never got past the 10-15 hour mark on that game. It is what BaK would have turned out on one tenth of the budget, and without Feist's Midkemia license. It's.. bad.

Edit: I mean, some like it despite all of its flaws, but it just doesn't cut it for me. Maybe if I never played BaK.

Very strong suggestion: change "Barding" to "Music", "Performance", "Singing" or something like that. When used as a verb, "barding" means something completely different: to cover meat in strips of bacon while cooking.
