I heard today that it will require Ray tracing. I doubt that, but it's pretty clear they will be supporting it: https://www.dsogaming.com/news/cd-p...rpunk-2077-real-time-ray-tracing-mods-and-vr/

Anyway, if the game will be in a city, it's safe to say it will have higher base requirements, even if the tech was not changed at all, and it will be changed, no doubt.

Like what ? Game is done in city and will be roling with a lot of cramped spaces. If you have 3rd person camera then you need high as fuck roofs which destroy atmosphere because otherwise camera can't work inside building. It is know problem for decades at this point.
If they would pick 3rd person camera they would have to shy away from most of interiors.
Cramped enough for you?

Imagine if cameras could be dynamic.

Now program such camera for 99999999999999999999 different interiors, crevices and other shit in Cyberpunk.
There is a reason why mentioned by you Lara event camera is scripted and you can't see shit because most of camera is wait for it.... behind character.

Standin' pretty. In this dust that was a city.
Spotted Johny in two places. One at the start where you are deciding how you look in a mirror - "Are you ready now?" line. he is leaning on some cabinet, something with screens on it to the right. And later where he seems to follow you in some quest, he hacks a dude with his silver hand from behind him.
Fuck yeah. Better that then some "jackie" cliche bot.
Yeah, not a big thing in CP, but more so in post CP games like Transhuman Space. Your character is xoxed with Johny, an AI that works like your conscience and tells you what to do.

Dont use those idiotic terms as "xoxo". Speak like a normal human being.
Keanus character here looks more like an actual character, guide, mentor, then a visual hallucination. Although it would be possible to make him an Ai person implanted into your FoV but since its that obvious a twist already the value of it is very low.
Even if he is an Ai no need to make him your "conscience". That would still be a character.

Hey Perkel, youve just gone batshit crazy mate.
Like brain damage loco. Complete self destruction into blathering giberish and outright insane obvious lying just so you can get what you want. What a disgrace.

Its possible that this is the actual Johnny Silverhand whose consciousness got transplanted into the chip (tying into the game's premise about finding a chip that could lead to immortality). Could also explain how he can help you fight enemies by hacking their implants despite being a hologram that supposedly only V can see

Keanu looks to be optional? It might be whoever you choose to be your Childhood Hero is who rides shotgun in your head similar to Olgierd's brother in the Hearts of Stone DLC.

He is a digital being. Like Motoko Kusanagi from Ghost In The Shell at the end of the original anime movie. Look closely at him in the trailer. His picture blinks.

On GOG the genre is tagged as Action and Role Playing.

And the sentence is "Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world, action-adventure story", not "Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world, action-adventure game".

Besides what does it matter anyway. Call it whatever you want, it won't change how the game plays.

Since the protagonist's eye functions like a computer, the blur could be caused by him being shot at and just reboot the system, it doesn't really confirm anything.

That's interesting. Cyberpunk 2077 no longer RPG?

https://www.gamepressure.com/newsro...red-bets-on-open-world-adventure-not-rp/z8ca4

I hope it's just marketing. GOG still states it's an action RPG. I guess we'll read about it and find out after today's showcase.

Wouldn't be surprising at all, thats what FP pov and real time combat controls do - because they shift influence over gameply more toward the player skills instead of character skills.
Although i doubt they went that far as they can keep it comfortable in the zone of Action RPG, meaning that character skills still impose some kind of limits on the gameplay, and so exist in the game - but it wouldnt be surprising.

Alright, i guess that can work too. as long as he isnt just "my conscience" but an actual individual character. But picture blinking isnt a proof since it may be just your character eyes glitching due to other stuff.

It's almost definitely a hologram.

I bet Johnny Silverhand was on that chip, his ex in lore had similar story:

Alt Cunningham is a Netrunner. She invented the beta version of Soulkiller, a program that would make a digital emulation or copy of a netrunner's mind. Saburo Arasaka kidnapped her, extracted the information from her, and made a more deadly version that would simultaneously fry the netrunner's mind after backing it up, allowing a Sysop to interrogate it at will. They then used it on Alt since she was of no further use to them, but her digital "ghost" broke free into the Net.
