Yeah, Mitsoda does some news channel voiceover stuff, which is cool as far as it goes.

Indeed. And you probably have a smartphone because the demo starts with you getting a message from someone called Penny...
Smartphone can be tracked, and tracked vampire is dead vampire.

Well, what else would this be? The computer sending you an update the moment you step out of your sleeping room? Googlle/Siri/Cortana/Alexa calling? Which of course would even more be a problem.

I think that real fishbourne is the second, after all matrix was fake, what we seen in the movie was just his avatar.

Great image. It reveals that vampire hunters will use holy grenades and that Goldman will side with vampires to protect the life cycle.

Yeah, Mitsoda does some news channel voiceover stuff, which is cool as far as it goes. Sadly it appears that Deb's voice actress was not tapped to reprise her role even though she's available. DECLINE

Absolutely foolish. Deb's voice acting was great, and added a lot to the sense of being alone in the world and confined to the night, while at the same time being sexy and funny without trying too hard. What a wasted opportunity.

And the radio adverts were great too.

'Democratic candidate Michael Redmonds recently sued Senator Robert Thorne for accusing Redmonds of being a murderous child pornographer. But Redmonds had previously said he was against clogging up courts with frivolous lawsuits. Wouldn't this make him a hypocrite? Would you want a hypocrite as your next Congressman? Would you want your children to become hypocrites?

Vote Republican Senator Robert Thorne, a candidate not accused of being a murderous child pornographer.'
Also, how retarded is the Kotaku journalist that they forget to get the data which was the whole point of their mission in the first place? I mean, I'm not exactly surprised (echoes of pigeon Dean) but still...

You're missing the important part here, which is that the game let them screw up like this and kept rolling. We're crying a lot about compass markers and so forth (and we should), but the fact is that the handholding could be a lot worse. I'm very much looking forward to blowing off missions, tanking objectives I don't like on purpose, choosing my own goals.

I agree about the handholding, but I don't particularly count it as a mark in its favour; yes, you can take the view that 'Wow, the game lets you proceed even when you fail a mission', but the other side of that coin is that it likely doesn't particularly matter if you succeed or fail on those things.

It may just be my own cynicism, but if you fail a mission to kill a guy, my expectations are more geared toward your boss going 'Huff, sigh, now you don't get the full reward, luckily one of my other minions killed the guy and everything will continue as normal' as opposed to it opening up alternate routes and new endings and things like that. With perhaps a couple of 'Choose X option/complete this optional objective or you can't join my faction' sidequests.

That said, I'd be happy to see my expectations being subverted.

I am sorry guys, but I have come to the conclusion that everything about this game looks extremely low effort. They are mainly banking on selling the game based on nostalgia to old fans (not on the quality of the game itself) not on attracting new fans to the genre. I feel the writing will be derivative and substandard. Nothing more could be said about the combat that was not said in the last 100 pages or so and I feel they will not be able to fix it in the coming months before releasing the game without core overhauls (like adding re loadable ammo). All the other "Immersive stuff" like the sound track, general tone of the game and cosmatics I feel will be mainly influenced by the main tastes of the lead writers (Cara Especially) and this could be good or bad depending on your taste (Personally I dislike it).

I respect your reservations. I think (hope) you're being too pessimistic.

Even in your example, I feel like being locked out of a faction for doing something wrong is a substantial consequence I would love to see in the game.

The question is, how much reactivity is required for it to "really matter"? Certainly in Bloodlines 1 we saw in the Slashterpiece mission very weak consequences. (If you refuse to go slash all the paintings, Jeanette just goes and does it instead, exactly like you describe.) I think this game will want to do a little better.

Certainly, there has been a lot of talk about choosing sides, supporting a faction, chances for betrayal etc. It's possible that this is a pack of lies, and it's certainly possible that they won't be able to pull it off, but they're talking the talk about consequential action. I don't expect every decision to have far reaching ripples but I'm confident we will see them sometimes.

So Outstar (Youtube channel person) thinks the female enemies with male voice is intentional. If this is true than this game is a fucking joke.
Outstar has a fetish and interprets information through that light

Anyway, why are you so upset about the possibility of this being a transperson-beating simulator? It's been done before.

I think that so far the worst thing about the game is animation. Everything else seems good, however, judging the game is too early anyway - we haven't seen enough of gameplay yet.

I just came from future. Status report:

New Vampire game have many woman in power and all looks like Asari from Mass Effect: Andromeda. You can still pick up girls in bars, but only this ugly and this is strongly connected with romances subplot written by female Tumbrl users (just like whole plot). All vampires are slighty dark-skinned, so no more pale bloodsuckers. There is no more Toreador, because it's sexist class, but instead of this you can made trans-vampire. Reviews are positive: "Game is better than first Bloodlines, Arcanum and ToEE taken together. Vampire game for new era of gaming. 10/10 and I want more". In this same time there is war on RPG Codex between: anti-SJW and five true SJW on this forum allied with TINSYCFJEYTVLEEPDN (There-Is-No-SJW-You-Crazy-Fucks-Just-Enjoy-Your-Tranny-Vampires-Like-Everybody-Else-Paradox-Dindu-Nuffin).

Oh, I almost forgot - years 2010-2020 are officially called "Best decade for RPG gaming in history". Enjoy.
