I hope these thick fugly cyan outlines can be switched off or toned down. This is more offensive than the original Thief Deadly Shadows frobbing.

Also why do the characters look all so fucking weird? Do they only get to eat soy on the frontier?

I'm 20 mins into the Game Informer stream. This appears to be one of those games where stealth is used on "if you are feeling like it, but you can always massacre everybody" basis. Before someone with nonexistent standards for games asks me with genuine astonishment what did I expect - difficulty to the combat that makes stealth necessary.

Honestly, sounds terrible.

Unless, we're talking a low combat build having naturally trouble with going a combat route. Otherwise, its not like this is Thief and troikas mantra of dialouge/combat/stealth still applies.

Not sure if this was posted already, but it's pretty interesting:
- Boyarsky says he wanted the original Fallout to be 3D, but realized the technology at the time couldn't support it
- Was jealous of Bethesda when they got to create a 1st person game. Happy he finally got to do a 1st person game himself

Nothing wrong with isometric though :incline:

Tim, Leonard, are you for real?
See how a mountain's shadow visibly jumps forward because the sun changed position... in a 2019 game: https://youtu.be/3EDoXlulh-s?t=1967

I was going to mention those things. Far too many hipster haircuts, and they look like helmets, not hair.

You mean if you specialized in stealth and took the crossbow in Elis Island mission, you would still be able to clear out the whole Liberty Statue? I don't seem to remember that.

Maybe post the full quote?

And so, did that charachter specialize in stealth that much? If so, I agree with you.

(Also why are we suddenly talking here about the equivalent of the liberty statue in Deus Ex?)

Nice that couple vids are from main planet, near the the beginning of the game...sick of watching Monarch already.

Edgewater looks much better than locations on Monarch.

I don't understand what is wrong with npc faces but something is wrong with them and their mouths which makes me cringe unconsciously every time I see one.

Otherwise looks garish and pretty meh so far.

If you wanted good mechanics, you wouldn't be playing obsidian games.

And one thing I really dislike is Catherines new hair. She looked way better before.

Some artist that got upset about Leonard's comments

yes.
Yes, provided you know the location very well already, tend to like save/load cycles, and adhere to a specific playing style.

Yes I totally think that was a mistake! And I just noticed they changed her hair too in the E3 demo footage they uploaded on their channel! She was way wild west business frontierswoman before now she's soo basic crime boss.

In Game Informer's video I think I spotted a sort of a chasm in the faces details and facial animations between companions (assuming this also includes plot-important NPCs) and less important NPCs.

I'm now watching the GiantBomb video (https://youtu.be/N0Ua2JvJoxQ) I can't get over how hairs completely ignore ambient lighting, I don't think I've seen anything so bad even in Gamebryo games.

NPCs don't react to brandishing a gun while in a settled area.

Game is apparently full of well-animated lesbian faces, with purple and red hairs. A Californian game designer's paradise!

The area designer must have been in a hurry.

For the visually challenged, this is a square-shaped water puddle:
