Threads from sub-forums should get automatic "tags"

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
Just for clarity reasons I think it'd be cool if for example a thread posted in the Underrail subforum would automatically get tagged "Underrail" so that it'll be easily visible where it "came from" also in the General RPG Discussion/master forum.
A lot of times the threads in said subforums are a bit too specific and senseless out of context. Eg "sniper rifle build" or stuff like that

DarkUnderlord Yeah, this is something we need. Not using the prefix functionality though, but as an additional template modificatication (to the the thread_list_item template). You could put the subforum title at the bottom right, underneath the prefix. Even better, make it a link to the subforum. And add a conditional so it only displays a subforum if the thread is actually in a subforum of the currently viewed forum.

Would be useful. Could also possibly extend the functionality so, for example, all Andhaira threads would get Crispy tags.

How about we go back to the old system where threads in child forums weren't visible in the the parent forums, it was so much nicer when half the first page of GRPG wasn't about Bethesda games.

That would also be fine, indeed :P

Did some experimentation with this.

It is fairly easy to tell the thread list template to behave the same way as the New Posts list, which displays the forum of each thread: https://rpgcodex.net/forums/index.php?find-new/posts

But it doesn't work - it shows an empty string. It's possible that the query that retrieves the thread records for displaying regular thread lists doesn't include that data. So you'd need to modify the PHP code to add it.
