G1 - Well, the Eldars continue with the tradition of having Farseer opening. Against orks they decide to deploy Howling Banshees. This isn't bad against shoota boyz, but they didn't press hard enough and teched up too slowly. Ork deployed Nobz and overwhelmed the Eldars completely.

G2 - Man SM threw away the game so hard there. Energy Core T4 structure was at sub 100 HP and could've been blown up. The marines was pushing the necrons so hard but decided to slow down, giving enough time for necrons to tech up. Monolith was restored and Marines called an early GG Despite having a ton of reserves and T3.

C'mon, all you needed are a few skull probes to shortcircuit the floating 10k hp and a few predators and Terminator squads to blow it up. Three heroes is a good plan but no plasma rifle for your marines is a big mistakes. T2 Marines can outfight T1.5 necron warriors with plasma. But you prioritized getting Grey Knight. Necron only has ONE production facility, so if you felt that you had the advantage: PUSH. They cannot pump out units as fast as you: vehicles, anti vehicles, infantry anything they needed had to come from the Monolith therefore a skull probe shortcircuit would cripple him so hard. Eldars have bonesingers that can teleport in and web that shit for 30 sec.

And don't be shy about spending more cash on bonesingers. They're so cheap. You could build up much faster with them teleporting away from danger or into construction spots much quicker. There's so much potential left untapped. You have a TON of resources. Use them.

The forces of the evil Norwegian landlord have been defeated and hello friend's internet restored to its former glory, so we played our matches.

Game 1 - https://files.catbox.moe/q8fe9o.rec
Game 2 - https://files.catbox.moe/w42k28.rec
Game 3 - https://files.catbox.moe/7s6l9e.rec

Game 1 was the usual SoB vs Ork tier 1.5 all in - whoever has the most losses calls gg.
Game 2 was :dead: cause I forgot that Tau needs Vespids to detect early. :M
Game 3 was more standard stuff, I would say it was decided by Ork economy being too strong, especially since it's a bigger map with lots of points to cap and harass.

GG to hello friend. We both had a change of plans and spontaneously decided to play today, so our lack of turainingu shows.

Game 1 SOB pushes hard, went for the wrong target. Tried to burn down banner while there are squads of shoota boys firing at them. 3 squad of sisters wiped. Did not use healing. Wasted.

Game 2 DE pushed Tau who lacks detection. What a weird game. Even if the detectors came very late into play, Tau should've won, if it wasn't a strange tendency by reject to let Vespid be isolated and unsupported. Once the detector squad got killed and barracks destroyed, there's no coming back from that crippled start.

Game 3 DE v Orks
DE went for Hellion harass. Bad mistake. The amount of guns on ork structure made that early jump in worthless. Should've went for more bikes in Tier 1 instead.

DE did hit Tier 2 earlier but did not spend cash on Hall of Blood to help out with infantry duty. Died with 500 float.

Me and Snorkack played, here are the files!

Game 1 - https://www.mediafire.com/file/p6556okgwa2ykzt/2P_FATA_MORGANA.2019-08-09.10-45-34.rec/file

Game 3 - https://www.mediafire.com/file/8yteqd2tb35kp7j/2P_QUESTS_TRIUMPH.2019-08-09.10-58-25.rec/file

2 - 0 For me.

In game 1, I tried a half assed harass, and got stuck between his base and his army in game one. Ended up losing my second shoota squad. Other than that I just teched up, got nobz, and smashed all his NW. He even lost his NL. Against a more experienced player, I don't think Nobz would've been a good choice, cause of NL lightning field, and FO's, which can keep up with nobz, but it was alright.

In game 2, I derped again, sent a NW squad out, thinking "hey, maybe I'll find a mandrake capping that middle point", and found his full army. Lost my NW squad while retreating back to base, which is ok, since they're free, I guess. Held his army with a turret, built my eco, got a couple of wraiths, and went into his base.

@RK, 2 gretchin models build at max speed, no matter what squad they come from. So at first, 2 squads of 1 gretchin build 33% faster, but once you reinforce them to 2 members per squad you can split them up to build other things.

For repairs, up to 3 gretchin can work at once.

2- 0 for me. Game 1 was clean, except for a sacrificed big mek (died so I could kill all his stuff). Game 2 was a bit more sloppy, with a few miscontrols, and surprise dreadnought, but still won.

game 1 promised so much - but sister had no plan to survive after losing their entire strike force. Hitting tier 2 with no army is an automatic loss against the early mass shoota.
game 2 is another case of 'so I hit tier 2, now what?' marines needed more aggression. Necron was never really in any danger.

Bueno.

This means match day 3 is over, though one game had to be forfeited because apparently Stormcrowfleet cucked out of the tournament for real, so that's a walkover victory for Janior. Let all records of the extra-heretic be expunged from the databases, and let his name be anathema to the righteous.

Match Day IV schedule

Imperial thought of the day: Innocence is an illusion.

Nahel vs Hello Friend
[REDACTED] vs Jaedar (probably a walkover)
Janior vs Reject

Brotherman Bill vs Popiel
Snorkack vs Roxor
JRIz vs Desocupado

These matches must be played by Monday, 26.08
