I found an online archive with pdf scans of various german PC gaming magazines of the past. I wanna read some just to practice my nazi-speak a little. What were some of the better magazines that you would recommend?

PC Action was nice. The articles were written in a satirical tone and the humor was very dumm.
Gamestar was fine. Some former writers have a podcast called "Stay Forever" about classics (Fallout, Ultima, Doom, etc.).

The truly monocled early gaming magazines were Power Play (until about 1993) and ASM (until about 1993). Especially Power Play had a few RPG-connoiseurs (Michael Hengst and Volker Weitz) - their RPG reviews in particular are among the best. ASM was a sort of more "cool" magazine for a while, you'd probably enjoy the "replies to letters" section.

PC Action was shit at first but later entertaining to read (if you like action games).

Yeah, I don't think I'll be reading PC Action. I mean just look at how these widerliche Halsbartscheissherren used to treat whamyn:

Absolutely, grew up with Power Play, they even had some RPG specials that were pretty good

Basically I went Power Play then PC Player then Gamestar and then I stopped reading Magazines
