So? I was listening to the Freedom Fighter soundtrack. Specifically Main Title and Freedom Fighters and The Battle for Freedom.

FREEDOM! FREE AT LAST

I think the game was better than most people would agree with, as far as I can tell. But it was still not a terribly special game.

Either link or mention youtube keywords for your songs, and please actually post something besides a link. Some sort of commentary.

Pretty much the entirety of Alone in the Dark. Janky as hell mess, but Bulgarian choir-based OST definitely stole the spotlight. It deserved a much, much better game.

That's a good one man. I remember getting that game on a weird plastic disc and it came with the soundtrack (also on a weird disc) and those tunes were great. Sad about the game though.

I'll add that I really can't stand playing 99% of JRPGs now, even the ones I loved as a kid, but they almost all have amazing soundtracks. Something in the water over there.

Did composers think they're making music for Xena: Warrior Princess game?

Div Div, Dungeon Siege and IWD always come to mind when I think of soundtracks standing head and shoulders above the game they're in.

Pretty much everything Sega CD related. Some real crap games, a bunch of rockin' soundtracks.

Genesis Rising. Mediocre space RTS (I tried the demo, it was ok, didn't really interest me in the full game), but good, if sparse, soundtrack.

Man, speaking of RTS soundtracks there's Conquest: Frontier Wars. I like me some Starship Troopers influence.
