Wow. Way to go! You came to the right place. We're generally mean assholes but games like these hit us right in the feels.

I can't until this is released Rhuantavan Looks so awesome. I'll likely donate, though any chance we could get a short playable demo if we do so, if not right away then sometime in the future? Are you considering a Kickstarter btw, would be useful as a free marketing campaign.

I liked the little tidbit about the magic system in the video, perhaps if you have time you can talk more about it? It appears to be priest based, so magic users will be priests or sorcerer priests?

And do we play with a pregenerated party? Normally I am totally against that, but in a BaK style game it can work quite well, as long as they have vivid personalities and a good storyline.

And just to put it out there, I am not a fan of real people sprites, that was IMO a low point for me in BaK; in fact BaK only did it because everyone was doing it in those days and it seemed to be where the industry was going, but thankfully it crashed and burned before it could really become a thing (A Fork in the Tale was what killed that fad if I recall, but not before they ruined Lands of Lore II with it). But I can live with it, as you seem to be doing it for nostalgia purposes (and maybe you like it, so that's cool)

Thanks!

I'm preparing a demo currently for this weekend's games conference here in Slovenia. An expanded and more complete demo is planned for my $3+ patreon supporters sometime early next year, perhaps in Jan-Feb. Perhaps for my $30+ paypal donators too, haven't decided yet. A kickstarter could be problematic in case it fails. It will shine a bad light on the project in case I decide to search for a publisher in the future, but also it is unavailable in Slovenia. Indiegogo is though, but it is far less popular than KS. So far, I'm counting on patreon.

I've written an open post on magic on my patreon back in 2016 when I started working on it. It should roughly still hold up. You can check it out here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/6828091

In short, it is based on knowing gods, having their favor and knowing their specific spells. Casting consumes stamina/endurance.

Like in BaK, the party is pre-generated as my goal is to have a strong story with memorable characters. I certainly hope to give my words justice.

There are two camps out there; Those who like and those who hate them. I personally like how the characters turned out. Besides nostalgia reasons, for me it was the most economical and straightforward way to do them.
