I don't know why you guys use that trash, just disable it.
It's not that we use it on purpose, it's just the default. You only remember it exists after it acts up once every few years. Disabling means downloading everything again. Don't want.
With it enabled you can't replace the loading screen, though.
You replaced the ugly loading screen with the original one… right? Right?

How the bonus objectives play into a lot of missions is nice. They often get mentions(at least) and sometimes change the entire mission.

Nothing like rolling a Jedi Guardian only for game to keep summoning that Darth chick companion that was awarded for free at one point. You get the droid fast, thankfully.

Awkward.

Don't remind me of the bowlegged mirrored stormtroopers, or Tau Idair (the stronk black womyn), who looks like someone photochopped a new face on her body 5 mins before the game went live. Seriously, what a sloppy rush job, I have seen fanmade wallpapers that looked better.
Plus I miss the old theme. :(

Jelly. Never got Darth Segsey.

Reminds me how strange Tython was yesterday, when half of the "new padawans" run around with Nico Odar/Darth Hexid/Shae Vizla/HK Fiddyone, while showing off their new bought Cartel armor. Bonus points if they are already max level scaled down, only there to farm renown/titles.

"Forge my first lightsaber? Yo bitch, I already got a diamond encrusted goldplated one mah hip her! Sheeet maaaan, my hairstyle is worth more than Satele's outdated armor!" :hahano:

Comrades Commissar has noticed that you not only pick sub classes from level one which is strange to be honest but also some three roles, Tank, Healer and Damage ones which is best for Vanguard, Tech specialist and Operatives?

For regular gameplay, it does not matter. I guess any of the damage specs to speed it up, though some are more difficult to use than others.

For engame raiding*:
Consider Vanguard and Powertech (I assume that is what you mean by "tech specialist") the same class. I do not advise tanking with them, it is difficult. There are perhaps 5 people in the world who got the hang of it. They are very good DPSs in either spec, with advanced prototype/tactics (the burst spec) being slightly easier to use than pyrotech/plasmatech (the dot spec). Both are considered melee classes.
The Operative is a wonderful healer with impressive utility thanks to his stealth. Also very good damage delaer if used competently, with lethality (the dot spec) being slightly easier than concealment (the burst spec).

*Keep in mind, I haven't been playing for over a year. Could be that the recent expansions made things upside-down.

This is the reward for finishing Tatooine's bonus series btw, was this what you were referring to?
I assume you are subscriber now, since the mission shows lvl65. I noticed heroics handing out Alliance crates and apparently the bonus series does that too.
You can't do jackshit with those until you have finished uuh... chapter 9 of KOTFE I think. Because you need the Alliance NPCs to trade them in (and get "Commander's share" back in return).

That's actually a bit of trolling on Bioware's part.:hahano:
I suggest storing them in your Legacy cargohold for now, then let your favorite char trade all of them in (to level the Alliance specialists to 10). The contents of the "Commander's share" bawx are bound to legacy as well. The AS level is just worth bragging rights and additional objectives in the Star Fortress flashpoints.

Oh boy, you are in for a ride. One of the very few choices that actually made me pause and reconsider. The trooper story is generally meh, but the Jaxo part was well done. :salute:

I'm gonna get back into this soon. Logged in and realised my bank is chokeful of patrons, any chance they're still worth it since release (some of them are probably from KotFE/ET) ?
Always cool to dive back in these sorts of games and realise it'll take an hour to understand where I'm at.

Hands up if you did NOT do that! Nobody? I expected as much. :obviously:
Killed the world boss of Tython yesterday. No danger, took forever. Shitty reward. 1/10 would not do again.

Speak for yourself. I remember coming back to my Shit Warrior after only 1 year and had no idea who the cyborg guy is that claims "we meat again". Bioware even runs with that problem in Onslaught and gives you the dialog option "okay I give up, who the fuck were you again?" after a boss taunts you for the 3rd time with "we meet again blablabla".

*I* suggest you use your favourite char to enter KOTFE chapter 1, nab Darth Marr as companion, then port to your stronghold and never return. That's what I did.

I know, best deal ever! But... I thiiiiiink it's not possible anymore. Sad.
Sadly that would also mean you can't do any of the stuff beyond the KOTFE/KOTET either, because starting "jedi under siege" autocompletes it (and would remove Darth Bro from inventory). Sad.

You originally picked only the base class, then picked your advanced class on the fleet. But players are retards by definition, so they immediately after picking an advanced class regretted it and demanded it to be reversed. Technically not possible, please restart a new character and replay the starter planet. Be thankful they changed it.
Storyfag already explained it all. It really only counts for endgame operations, to aquire gear to be better in endgame operations. And PvP I guess.

Since operations are a toxic environment, with constant elitist bitching about your lack of skill, "subpar gear score" and "flawless rotations", I would answer the question with:

"Pick whatever you like. Don't do any endgame operations. You can do story content half-afk in your underwear"

Seriously, everytime I hear someone flap his gums about "rotations" he practiced at a dummy, I want to slap his face as a wakeup call. Do they really think the Op boss just stands there and lets you mindlessly drone your "rotation". Melee classes spend more time flying around than pressing buttons. :hahano:

As a (retired) hardcore endgame raider, I resent that! It's the clueless tryhards who bitch about gear scores and rotation flaws. Lack of skill is a legitimate factor though.

Ehh, knowing the basic basics of your class is important, so practicing those rotations from time to time has value. Understanding how to adapt to changing circumstances is much more important though.

In the end, story and even hard mode operations are taken waaay to seriously by waaay to many people. But those people... they are not elitist, as they are sadly mistaken in thinking they are elite.

I did manage to retain him through everything up to and including the Nathema flashpoint, and I *think* Iokath already autocompletes KOTFE/KOTET. Of course Jedi under siege might work differently. But I would have to sub back to try it out on a spare character to make sure, and that's waaay to much effort.

Yes, knowing the synergy between your skills is important. Practicing a perfect rotation with a spreadsheet of gear values and demanding of "every serious player" to do so too.. not. You know, the usual vocal minority and PUGs vs premade.

"Jedi under Siege" autocompletes everything up and including the Nathema FP. Not sure about Iokath, I don't think there is an option to fast forward to it. It did start after finishing KOTET tho. I only remember reading people not being able to keep Marr anymore, but who knows, each patch breaks something that was fixed before anyway.

Are there any non-story companions I can acquire easily?
I want more companions to send out on missions :M

You could purchase Treek and HK-51 unlocks in your legacy. Might need to complete the HK quests first though? Those were FUN anyway. BW added combat companions later on - akk dogs, tu'katas, various types of war droids, you name it. But I *think* you can't send them on missions.

Oh definitely. Perfect dummy parses are nice for that e-penis comparisons, but whenever I was recruiting people, I never considered it a high priority to review their dummy parses.

I saw a PUG the other day. Horrible creatures, I avoid them whenever I can.

Acc unlock Treek requires something like legacy level 40, that's waaaaaay off for him. But I think he can still buy him for 1 million? First time buy is also LL 40+
HK Fiddyone requires, well, you have to have him on the char unlocking it. So not really a shortterm plan either.
After KOTFE/KOTET you can recruit half of the other classes' companions as well, plus the Star Fortress ones. But that isn't useful for you now either.

Crew skill stuff was made to keep people subbing as long as possible. No shortcuts! So sadly you will have to make do with the meager selection of up to five slackers. Sad.

Is there an easy way to have a companion repeat their last mission or nah?
