Contrary to the meme, I don't hate Grimoire, I think the current version is one of the best blobbers ever made.
Re-review? It’s come a long way by all accounts.
Meh, I still stand by my review. I finished with:

"Properly balanced, documented and polished, Grimoire could be a gem that rivals Wizardry VII and its peers - a crown jewel of the blobber / DRPG / Dungeon-crawler genre."

Not willing to put in 80hs to find out how how many balance & polish changes where done, especially when I still remember most dungeons and secrets. Maybe in a decade or so.

There really should be a poll that enforces you have a year+ account to avoid outsiders seeing our poll and trying to sway it for some sick whim.
fantadomat does that every year. Besides, in 2015 we did a huge poll like that once, using a system coded by DU. The result was... basically the same as our normal polls. It was when Witcher 3 became one of our GOTY.
Here is the poll for anyone that missed it.

I'm just jostling your livestock, Felipe. However, not a big fan of the google poll. This allows non codexers to vote on OUR business. There really should be a poll that enforces you have a year+ account to avoid outsiders seeing our poll and trying to sway it for some sick whim.
All Codex polls should link each vote to a unique Codex ID, and the published results should include the full details of each person's vote, as was done for the poll covering the period 2012-2016.

Slay the Spire is actually a 2019 release!? What...? The game has been around for how many years now?

Anyway, StS is good, so there's at least one serious option in the poll, but it's not going to win, sadly. I'm actually surprised at how few people played StS around here since we're not talking about a super hidden obscure game. StS sold several hundred thousands of copies.

Fun fact: the game is getting a forth character as FREE DLC. And I can say from experience Watcher is tons of fun.

It is a pretty fun card game. But an RPG it Isn't...

felipepepe have you explained why Sengoku Rance isn't on the list yet?
C'mon, it's a 2006 game that has been available in English via fan translations for almost a decade...
So? Put it under the remake heading. It's technically a port as well, from japanese locale -> regular. It's not like it will be competitive if you add it now though, but it would warm my heart to see it beat disco disco.

Don't we have enough decline as it is? Why do you feel the need to bring a crappy porn strategy game into the mix as well?

First : Disco Second : Queen's wish Third : Luigi mansion 3
Luigi mansion 3 is the only rpg there.
Indeed and oddly only game with true physics , i wouldnt recommend it for small kids although, its far too hard unless you play it coop . Some boss fight are really far too hard , like the knight you have like one second to flash it when he strikes with the spear. Luckily i was there to help and show the superiority of an oldschool gamer .

The Present
  1. Intrinsic character development with mutually exclusive variations.
  2. All character interactions are intermediated by a mechanic (dice, etc).
  3. Exploration
These are the minimum essentials for a non-hyphenated RPG. Get over it. Disco Elysium is an RPG.

Enjoy the Revolution! Another revolution around the sun that is. Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Pathfinder: Wrath I'm very into cock and ball torture I helped put crap in Monomyth
Basically sums up the year. Anyone can be RPG creator and anything can be an RPG it seems.

The word that could describe the current state of the industry doesn't exist yet.

Best JRPG of the decade.

Why would you say that?
Because it's my opinion!

I really enjoy the combat, the board game feel of the world map and the general story is decent. I've written some thoughts in a couple of threads.
