We doing a Codex fundraiser for this?

The Grimoire quest in the first one was pretty good.

Why the fuck they need to do crowdfunding, is this 2012

No idea mate, it's a cancerous approach. I hate stretch goals, that's why usually these games end up having a ton of feature bloat.

They went indie. MY took all/most of the profits from the previous game, so I doubt they have too much in the bank for any extended development. And looking at their ambition level, extra time would probably be sorely needed again.

KS goal for extra three months of bugfixing?

Lead the armies of the Fifth Crusade to victory in a new strategic layer of gameplay.

In addition to the classic CRPG experience, step into the role of the Commander, gather troops, reinforce your stronghold, and send your armies to battle the demonic invasion across the map....

Hmm what sucks about this the most is the limitation to just 6 paths. It'd be better to be a custom character all the way, and just pick variety of items/powers/allies depending on your choices.

And I for one, liked the battle aspects in Suikoden 2/3/5. It can be done in a minimal, enjoyable way.

Anyways, already backed. The future is Kojko.

Well kingmaker made sense with its approach but. I just wonder why they decided against starting the adventure path from the first entries of the series. They could milk PF for a long time.

They probably picked Wrath as it's a munchkin's paradise AP. A lot of people will probably be bitching if their characters don't end up stronger than KM.

If I'm getting this right the game sold close to 1 million copies, they also have a publisher (Deep Silver/THQ) and yet they are still begging for pre-orders for their new game because they've already spent most of their profits on vodka (plus game development is much cheaper in Russia than it is in USA or Germany for example, probably even cheaper than in Poland)? I don't see any reason to support them at this time.

KS a sequel? So unnecessary. They proved themselves with the first project and can get all the investment they need to make the 2nd. I don't want to know about stretch goals, compromises, bullshit that they cut out because boohoo we didn't get enough free money. Let's be real here, the money they get will be diverted to whatever they choose, probably lining their pockets, they simply don't need it and don't care what backers hope they do with it. That said, Kingmaker was my all-time favourite throwback RPG, WotR will be a day one purchase for me, no matter the state it comes out in. The KS stuff just gives me scummy vibes.

Tbh, this all sounds too epic for my taste. The way to make epic palatable is to actually scale it down to a group of people fighting with fate and the overwhelming odds stacked against them. Duh.

Unlike the other kickstarter shown here earlier, I've no problem with throwing a couple bob Owlcat's way. The first Pathfinder was the true successor to BG in the same way that the pen & paper game was the successor to (best boy) DnD 3.5. Honestly, more of that but improved and less buggy is great. Also Chris is the RPG Codex Certified Number 1 Kickstarter Stretch Goal and Mail Order Bride. Also being a Lich sounds fuckin sweet.

I don't want to choose to be a lich from a menu of options, I want to reach that with the choices I make and exploration in-game. And then be given a narrative option somewhere down the line to kill my companions and raise them as undead. Ugh, I just came a little. There is nothing worse than having no consequences for being a necromancer and it making no sense because of that.

Yeah, reminded me of WoW’s death knight or whatever that shit called. Easy way to attract epicness-hungry maggots.
