That is the idea, to have some of the old vibe to the UI. Right now we are focusing on the functionality and the features that we want to implement in the inventory and in the UI. We'll shape the UI more during the beta, after we put all the necessary buttons and features.
I personally don't believe in "fashion" UI look, like you have to make a certain type of UI to be in line with the times. I like any UI that stands out, if it fits the game and functionality.

We have a gameplay walkthrough on superhuman with live commentary, explanations and subtitles here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HRW2anFwquo

I've tried a loss free playthrough, but I failed to do it live (even if I new the way the AI handles the battle, it was enough to overexpose the right flank to lose a soldier).

If anyone succeeds a clear playthrough and post it on youtube, we may think of an reward. :)

Hmmm...

The campaign did not meet our required minimum amount or didn't comply with our rules about campaign management. You’ll no longer receive any perks associated with this transaction. Learn more about Indiegogo’s policies in our community guidelines.
I guess this didn't hit the minimum requirement for IndieGogo?

We had our youtube advertising approved after one and a half months, when the Indiegogo campaign had only 3 days left. So we have virtually no advertising for the campaign except the forums.
We will relaunch the Indiegogo campaign when we will have a bigger game community.

Until then, we are excited to share with you the first concept of the Etta-Um alien, with a short description and a scaled representation of his dimensions.

Spoiler Alert!

If you want to discover the aliens only during the game, you may skip the chart below in order to avoid spoilers.

Called “The Supervisors” by the Ka-Um-Las and It-Um-Las, the elusive Etta-Um have avoided Terran Shield’s forces since the beginning of the conflict. The only captured specimen so far, has been found deep inside the underground labyrinth of the Lost Shrine of Um base on Borneo Island.

The preliminary analysis has revealed that the creature is some kind of evolved snail, possessing advanced mimetic abilities. It can easily duplicate the color of its environment and the shape of surrounding objects, in a much more complex manner than the octopus from our oceans can. Its protuberances can transform it in the shape of virtually any object, such as a tree branch, a complex coral or a rock cluster. Aided by its low body temperature, the Etta-Um is very hard to detect during missions. Any mission where an Etta-Um is in charge of a Ka-Um-La or It-Um-La squad is a tactical nightmare, because the Etta-Um supervisor hides themselves while coordinating the attack and while they are alive, the alien forces are much more unpredictable and deadly.

If the Etta-Ums control the soldiers and workers Um-Las, the massive Bogs and the savage warrior race of Glees, we can only speculate about the shadow masters that control the Etta-Ums, and their true motives for invading our planet.

The Etta-Um encounters

Hi everyone!

We continue our journey with an update on the Etta-Um alien.

Our first encounters with this alien creature were associated with weird behaviors of our aquanauts and soldiers. It seems that on their proximity our forces experience episodes of disorientation, sickness and their movement and reactions were severely diminished.

As a slight concession for us, the Etta-Um that activates the static field, remains immobile and can't perform any other action, making him vulnerable to our attacks.
At first, we attributed this to the fatigue and stress that our forces are forced to put up with during the long and heavy missions. But our continuous reports of these symptoms in the proximity of the Etta-Um creatures, indicate us that something very unnatural and peculiar was happening when one of our soldiers approached them on a certain distance.

Our early scientific reports concluded that the Etta-Um creatures can trigger some sort of static field that literally distorts reality, interfering with the neural activity of any enemy creature that dares to enter on that area. The enemy in this case becomes very vulnerable to enemy fire and also to enemy mental control; the danger of this static field is so great, that our soldiers called the Etta-Um the most dangerous alien encountered so far!

On Terran Shield: Under the Jungle shooter missions the player experience a significant slowing of movement and also a much lower fire rate, so that entering on this dumper field must be made with careful preparation and for a brief time as possible.

On Terran Shield: Edge of the Abyss strategy missions our soldiers and aquanauts must allocate much more time units for movement, shooting, throwing, and accessing the inventory and basically any activity that our unit makes on that dangerous area.

The static field it seems to be generated from the two large protuberances from the back of the Etta-Um creature. Also, the intensity and the dimensions of this field seems to be related to the power and rank of each such creature, so that the higher commanders proximity must be avoided with all costs and our units target priorities have to be directed towards this very dangerous foes.
