Four in battle.
Then is not too bad, it should have a variety of classes. I wonder if you can change members just in certain moments in the game like Dragon Age or you can select the ones you want before a battle.
I'm hoping you'll be able to switch them out at camp. I should say that while there will be more companions available, I don't know if there are any guarantees yet that they won't pull a D:OS again and kill off anyone you didn't take with you in ACT 1.

When we waited for the gameplay reveal, I expected it to be RTwP and third person and the shitstorm on the Codex because of this reason. However, the game turned out to be TB and isometric... and there is a lot of butthurt to behold because of completely different reasons :D

How unnecessarily slow is the turn based combat? Because if I'm having to watch real-time animations in a so-called turn based game, then that's why.

I'm not particularly attached to, or invested in, Baldur's Gate 3, but I have to say that I really found it borderline insulting how the gameplay we were shown makes it look like a Divinity OS 2 mod. I expected it to have plenty of similarities (artstyle, engine etc.) but even the UI looks the same and I'm pretty sure that some of the inventory icons etc. were actually recycled from DOS 2. It's not like this is a case of Obsidian being given 18 months to develop New Vegas, and having to use Fallout 3's assets in order to complete it on time. Why did they make it look so shitty?

Don't just rate my post as "makes you think...". Explain yourself catfood.
Threads with polls are better.

I'll admit your opening was better but my thread is on top. My thread has better opinions and better commenters. I'm totally down to team up with you on release date and protest the game, I hope you don't plan on buying it. We can make a Baldur's Gate release day thread but we actually just play bg1 and pretend it's new.
