It's not ready yet, but this is not a procedural rogue like, the levels are premade, which makes it a lot different.

Ok, my next step is to create as many skills/spells/weapons, and test it on as many monsters/battle scenarios.
I am basically trying to make the battle more interesting and fun.

Any suggestions or design advice on battle?
For instance, I was told that limiting weapons for levels is a bad idea, unless you have trading with players, which I don't have.

My idea is that every weapon/armor/spell/skill will get bonsues or penalties depending on your 3 main attributes(str, dex, int). if your attributes are too low you might not be able to use that item/skill/spell.
So it's a classless system.
I think that any combination of attributes will allow you to use skills/spells of equal power to the sum of attributes.
So for instance, if you have str 3, dex 3 and int 3, you might use a skill that needs all 3 that will be as powerful as a skill that needs only int 9.

if you have tips on combat design please tell me.
Basically I am going to do a blitz of new content designed for better more interesting combat. And then remove the things that were bad.

agris, sorry for the joke, I guess I got a bit counter trolly from all the trolls here. Maybe you were genuine, maybe in Rogue Like there are a lot of gruesome deaths, I don't recall.

I have attempted to create a fighting scenrio. It's like a challange.
Tell me how many tactics you found to beat it.
The rage skill icon is cut if you are not in full screen :/ But you can still use it.
Full screen is super slow in this webgl build, not sure why.

It's basically an areana with a few enemies. You just need to defeat the enemies without dying.

Gave it a few rounds and couldn't make it through. Tried flanking and killing the archers first but that didn't work. Tried dropping skeletons first to keep the archers occupied but they rushed the melee mobs instead. I'll probably give it another go sometime in the future.

Some observations/comments/opinions:

Interface:
Ability to have both equipment and character menus open would be nice.
Tooltips over icons would help too. Health/gold/etc.

Graphics:
Spiked helmet guys are ranged? If they dont have a ranged weapon in their graphic, you should have an icon that indicates they are ranged.

Bugs:
Saving the game and loading it removes Summon Skeleton. This was right after entering the arena.

Why the faggy graphics? Is this RPG Maker (in which case I can understand)?
It was made with Gay Maker.
No, it's Unity, not RPG maker.
The medieval times were very much gay, btw.
Looks at their books.
Anyway, I think I like the unique style, as long as it's pleasing to the eye with all the common artistic choices, it doesn't matter.
It needs to be only unique and pleasing. Even if a bit gay.

New screenshot,
As I changed the perspective a bit of the game, I didn't notice that the character are still standing on the edge of the tile like they are icons.
As was suggested I have decided to place them in the middle of the tile instead, looks much better now.

Still need to fix UI imo: change grey bars with numbers, change "Character" and "Equipment" buttons.

I am preparing Golden Fall 2 for the steam store, as coming soon.

Here is the title art I did, because you got to have those store art placement.
I will probably get a professional artist to make proper art from this, like I did with the first golden fall.

At the end I am going to add screenshots I took for the Steam store, so you can get an impression.

Hi all,

I am working on releasing a Demo for Steam.
This is more or less the final build before release, but needs testing and feedback.

It has 3 levels.

You have 3 stats, Str, Dex, and Int.

Both weapons and skills get bonuses from all sort of combinations of these stats.

Heavy weapons get bonuses from Str but also Dex.
More finer weapons get bonuses from Str/Dex and Int.

Skills also get bonsues from Str/Dex/Int.

Every Int point you add, you get 2 bonus to your maximum SP(Spirit points which is basically mana).

You get to choose a new skill every level, including when starting the game.

Please try it out and tell me what do you think of it.
It's not working well on mobile devices, so you need to use a PC.

Well, something more constructive: I like that watercolor artwork, any chance of getting more of that art in the game? I always wanted to make a game utilizing my drawn/painted artwork but I could never figure out a way to convert it into a digital product so it doesnt look like shit.

There have been quite some updates for the game Demo, and I am also working on the full game.

The game Demo now has achievements, many bug fixes and many improvements.
I am now in progress of the full game, though progress has been a bit slowly lately.
(The above sentence make no sense)

People are actually playing the Demo according to statistics, which is good.
If you didn't try the Demo yet, or you had issues with the Demo, maybe you can try it now.

There is now also window mode.

Tell me if you were able to get all the achievements.

Oh, also there is a small trailer I paid some guy on Fiverr to make. It's quite cute.
Although, since he said "explore a vast world", now I need to make the game have a vast world... otherwise the trailer would lie. lol.
