Kingdom of Amalur Re Reckoning is what I will deff buy. EA be praised.
They might give it for free to previous owners. It seems they did that with previous remasters.
The old version is super cheap at key stores right now.

Since Bioware is now just a subsidiary of EA how does that matter?

I thought I read somewhere that for the transitional games (i.e. the games that Bioware was working on while EA bought them), Bioware had some sort of deal to sell DLC through its store. However, maybe that's bullshit. I don't know. However, the DLC has never been on sale through the EA store. I think even to this day, you have to buy credits through Origin and then spend them in the Bioware store in game. The DLC is still its original price and it never goes on sale, which is annoying as the games themselves are dirt cheap, but buying all the DLC will still cost you like $60.

So selling it through Steam is incline because it will likely go on sale more frequently.

but a socialist company can sell products for profit without contradicting themselves provided the profit is distributed amongst the product's producers equitably or according to their labor contributions.
Wow, that socialism sure sounds a lot like a merit-based capitalist system.
The fundamental socialist critique of wage labor is that it does not pay workers the value of what they produce.
Man, this had been debunked by pretty much all economists since Marx, no serious economist take the absolute value of labour theory that Marx stole from Ricardo and Adam Smith serious anymore, socialism is a purely political movement now of people seeking for priviledges and inventing BS to justify it, there is no economic basis for it anymore, it is just a bunch of people crying about the world with stuff that could be easily classified along with stuff like: "Why do I need oxygen to live? That is unfair." "Why do I need to eat? That is unfair.", if they think it is unfair, they should go complain with God because we dont live forever or if they dont believe on it, go hug a tree or smoke pot for Mother Nature have pity of them.

No serious economist with good sense and that isnt an ideologic lunatic believe on that non-sense, the relative value of labour theory is equivalent to the evolution theory on economic circles and Marxists are the equivalent of flat-earthers. Only because you think your shit should be worthy 10.000 dollars every stinky piece of it, people arent robbing you when they say they wouldnt take that from you even for free.

This is childish and shows you have no understanding of the current state of socialist political economy. Yes, there are socialist economists. No, not all accept the labor theory of value. Labor exploitation as defined by Marx may rely upon the labor-embodied theory of value--he was writing at a time when that theory was generally accepted--but others have constructed theories of exploitation not reliant upon the labor theory of value. The wikipedia article goes into detail on this. More importantly, I never advanced the labor theory of value in the what you quoted from me, so you're projecting your own ideas onto my writing.

On a more general level, your assertion that because the majority of economists do not believe in the "absolute value of labor theory" (what is this?) the theory is of no use is unconvincing because you do not demonstrate that the theory of flawed. Your assertion boils down to an appeal to authority, a known logical fallacy.

Out of all games, only C&C lacks the Origin requirement, at least for now.

More interesting is the case of Dragon Age 2 as it used to be sold on Steam before EA left the platform. Judging by SteamDB, people who owned the game before the EA/Steam kerfuffle may have two entries, or at worse, were "upgraded" to the Origin riddled re-release:

"Dragon Age II (Retired)", the old 2011 entry: https://steamdb.info/app/47900/

"Dragon Age II", the 2020 re-release: https://steamdb.info/app/1238040/

Anyway, would be worthy of note if the games were released on GOG instead.

So the game requires you to launch not only origin and steam, but also galaxy all at the same time?
:yeah:

But before the exe finally launches text pops up that calls you names and zaps another 10 bucks out of your wallet. When you close the game after playing the first time it also punches you in the face and uninstalls itself. Why?

Necessary consumer protection programs.

Fight battles in a televised tournament in a completely destructible environment where loosing means death and winning means freedom.

Recruit an unstoppable team of cracker-jack combatants with varying fighting skills and weapons and construct an impregnable fortress of defense, laden with deadly traps and devastating weaponry. Traverse an unforgiving arena collecting rewards and infiltrate the enemy’s stronghold with the intention of destroying it... Happening the years following the brutish skirmishes near the Orion Nebula, a strong feeling of general well being seemed to permeate even into the darkest corners of parliament, where a wild and daring decision concerning the treatment of prisoners was made; a chance for freedom that would supply the Galaxy with an extraordinary new form of entertainment ... THE PIT. Delivers the full package of character building, strategic resource management and a never-before-seen depth of real-time tactics!!

Story
Since the late 25th century, Earth's population has skyrocketed, and the face of our blue planet has been transformed into a complex grid of concrete, polymers and steel. Oxygen trickles into the atmosphere by virtue of precious biospheres that dot the skies in a suspended fragile mesh several miles above the surface. Humans toil and commute along side the masses of alien races that have since inhabited Earth's centres. Together they have concocted the most voluble and copious of environments known to mankind since the Garden of Eden. At the turn of the fourth millennium, pessimistic speculation led philosophers to believe that Earth was bound for troubled times and that great suffering would engulf the helpless inhabitants. As usual, they were wrong. In fact, in the years following the brutish skirmishes near the Orion Nebula, a strong feeling of general well being seemed to permeate even into the darkest corners of parliament, where a wild and daring decision concerning the treatment of prisoners was made; a chance for freedom that would supply the Galaxy with an extraordinary new form of entertainment ... THE PIT.

Features
  • Nexagon is real time 3D tactics with a refreshing twist on action/strategy gaming.
  • Strike out into a completely destructible environment, where every structure, weapon, building or otherwise, can be entirely obliterated.
  • Fight battles online in one on one multiplayer match ups or connect as a spectator to watch the mayhem from front row center.
  • Design and manage your own persistent, editable base of operations, build defensive structures, traps, weapons and lavish gardens to please the crowd and protect your investment.
  • Purchase units that gain experience and undergo physical changes over time, becoming more powerful from match to match.
  • Battle your way through 3 separate divisions of enemy contenders, increasing your network value to one day compete in the ultimate fight for freedom … the Nexagon.
  • Gain extra credit supporting your network sponsors through use of billboards and control of advertising locations.
  • Earn sufficient credit to buy some heavy hitters who will send smaller enemy units crashing into buildings or flying right out of The Pit entirely.
  • Take control of stationary weapons and send mortar fire raining down upon your rivals.

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
Deck of Ashes left Early Access today. Another deckbuilder. Your cards are "burnt" as they're played and must be restored to your deck before they can be played again.

Features
  • Creative deck-building - collect combat cards that fit your unique playstyle and crush the enemy!
  • Unique hand-drawn eerie art style.
  • Dynamic dark fantasy world - travel through a procedurally generated, changing world in search for cards, supplies and glory!
  • Various biomes that harbour different monster classes - each biome affects the gameplay and offers a unique set of opponents!
  • Survival and resource management - you have limited opportunities to restore health or spent cards, so use them wisely!
  • Camp - strategically improve your base depending on your style of play.
  • Permadeath - unless you use the help of dark magic, then when you die, you die for good.

(Ironically a 3D game has most clear visuals.)
