Hi there, I'm the creator of Rise of the Foederati, a Squad Tactics-esque game. Not sure if it qualifies as that, but if you guys want to add it to your list, you're more than welcome. The website is currently a little wonky, but we're working to make it better.

>> mikest is it full release or early access?

The dev is planning on releasing the full game in November. He has a "First Access" version out right now on Game Jolt with a limited 100 copies only to be sold (there's a few left IIRC).
I tried that game at the OrlandoiX event on August 19th and I really liked the style of it and the team was super friendly. Any fans of old-school games like Fallout 1, 2, Tactics and X-Com Terror from the Deep is going to like that game as it has a similar feel (but much better graphics, obviously ^^).

Codex 2016 - The Age of Grimoire Make the Codex Great Again! Grab the Codex by the pussy Bubbles In Memoria

Features:
  • Eight different species with their own specific combat bonuses and abilities.
  • Control your gladiators with the new 3D isometric combat system, where fights can have hundreds of different outcomes. Utilize dozens of different combat styles and abilities –employ unique species abilities, combat stims that increase physical stats, and special equipment such as force fields, weapon jammers, armor shredders, nano-leeches, and more.
  • Construct a headquarters to your exact specifications in order to maximize the efficiency of your operation. Medical bays, training centers, cloning tanks, cybernetics labs, weapons ranges, equipment workshops, and more.
  • Gladiators are born with their own dynamically generated physical attributes (twelve in total), weapon specialties, and personalities. It is up to you to draft the best prospects from the academy, make astute trades with competing owners, or hire scouts to scour for fringe fighters on nine different worlds.
  • As your gladiators level up, they gain points to spend on their attributes, weapons training, and expertise. Expertise allows you to build and customize your fighter according to their appropriate strengths. Weapons training allows you to specialize your gladiator with a specific weapon (pistol, carbine, or rifle for ranged sharpshooters, or 1-handed sword, 2-handed sword, or axe for melee brawlers). The physicality of your gladiators will increase or decrease with age, depending on if they are in their prime or declining.
  • Track the progress of your recently-drafted gladiators in the Rookie League, carefully developing and preparing them for their eventual promotion to the deadly Blood League. You could have the next unstoppable superstar in your farm system!
  • Clone dead fighters back to life or fit them with cybernetics if they are grievously wounded.
  • Be sure the check the bounty board. An opposing gladiator in the arena may have a price on their head, yielding millions of credits in payouts if they are killed in battle.
  • Manage your gladiators carefully – their morale, greed, injuries, fatigue, weapons training, and more must be taken into account before sending them to battle.
  • As your gladiators gain glory from battle, they will become more widely recognized and adored by the crowds. Win enough battles and they may even get voted into the Blood League hall of fame after they retire (or die).
  • Become a mogul outside of the arena. Purchase property for fame or businesses through which to further increase the efficiency of your operation.
  • Purchase, recruit, draft, trade, or claim fighters off the waiver wire.
  • Rob credit shipments, kidnap enemy fighters, assassinate your debt holders and more with the proactive mission system. Increase the odds of success by sending reliable gladiators on the mission as well. Lawfully aligned gladiators will only partake lawful missions, while criminally-inclined gladiators will assist in unlawful activities.
  • Engage in five different branches of research: combat, medical, weapons, armor, and scouting.
  • Search for deals on weapons, armor, combat stims, special equipment, and credit loans on the marketplace.
  • Hire staff such as scouts, doctors, trainers, weapons techs, and armor techs to help your gladiators achieve victory. Assign your superstars or promising prospects to trainers for individual grooming; or accelerate the healing of your wounded by providing them expert medical care from your hotshot doctor.
  • Strive to become the wealthiest individual in the known galaxy. There are quick and underhanded ways to make money, but your reputation and fighter’s morale may suffer as a result.
  • Receive taunting messages from opposing bosses as well as various other messages from your fighters, staff members, and different characters as you progress through the game.
  • Rename your gladiators in order to increase your attachment toward them.
  • Bet for or against your gladiator based on the odds generated by bookmakers in-game.
  • Fight purses and betting is based on the hype associated with each match. The greater the hype, the more lucrative the fight purse and betting market will be - but the opposition will also be tougher.
  • Each game is dynamically generated and different each time.
  • Play as many seasons as you want. Build your story. Build your empire.

Attack of the Earthlings development update.
7 September - tjfkay

ello everyone!

As the development on Attack of the Earthling progressed, it became clear that our ambitions for the game was out of step with the timeframe we had set. Therefore, it is with a heavy heart that we have decided to delay the release of Attack of the Earthlings until early 2018.

One of the key reasons for this later date is that we set out with the goal of wanting to make Attack of the Earthlings more accessible for players around the world. Hence we are planning to localise Attack of the Earthlings into a number of languages.

We have also been improving the overall graphics and audio for the game as well as hoping to provide support for Mac and Linux users.

Attack of the Earthlings will be playable at Eurogamer Expo[www.egx.net] this month and we hope to get some valuable feedback from players that we will now have time to implement before launch. If you’re in the UK and attending the show - come say hello and give us your thoughts! :)

Thank you all for your support, especially to those of you who have added Attack of the Earthlings to your wishlist! It’s massively appreciated.

We hope to update you all with how development is progressing soon.

Thanks again,
- Team Junkfish

This one is still a long way off but it's promising I guess.
JaegerFiring.gif

“Thy Hunter’s a light, covered in mud, fell through the dark days, he’s dear God’s delight.”
In a world, where the nature had gone mad and hostile, the cold steel of a rapier and a gun are like a blessing from the civilization. The only thing you know about your enemy is that somebody called them Darkness. It is one, but they are many.
Lurking in the woods of Alder’s Blood you’re pinned down to have fangs just to fight fangs. Lead the group of Hunters, God’s delight, a last gift for the purged grounds and souls of tormented peasants giving them the last hope in a world, where a promise means nothing.
“I don’t trust my doggo anymore” – one of the peasants.
In Alder’s Blood, people completety lost the leftovers of their trust to nature, even to the pets – the loved ones pupils, that should bring a smile on somebody’s face. No one wants to see a raised companion becoming a wolf. People watched the growth of shiny fangs and deadly claws. Then, the villages started to dissappear completely covered by the inescapable dark blood mist of the Darkness.
Swamped in the mixture of blood and mud, Alder’s Blood will be a turn – based tactical strategy game, where the nature is ruled by pure madness.

Towns, Territories, Larger World Maps and More
25 OCTOBER - DARKMATTER
Hey Everyone,

It’s has been ages since a proper update. To get the bad news out of the way. Since everyone has been asking, we’ll be pushing into 2018. That said, onward to the good parts.

We’ve been very busy adding features to and polishing Western Saga mode. There is a new territory system where you’ll get a little extra help from the locals if you’re fighting on your home turf or face a little extra opposition from the enemy if you are on theirs. There are other benefits and penalties for being in friendly and enemy territory.

One of the other massive changes was increasing the world map around 5x. It’s a much bigger space to explore and you can find yourself in trouble far from home which makes decisions about what kinds of actions to take a little more important. Along with this came the ability for Hired Guns to travel out to your groups so you can receive re-enforcements in the wild.

Another huge addition was the town system. Towns now have specific benefits you can use which are randomly generated for each game. You may find a valuable town that has Crooked Judges, a Brothel, a Saloon filled with rumors or a Shop ready to sell you valuable items. This comes hand in hand with town names showing up on the map for added flavor and clarity.

As mentioned before briefly we added quirks, perks and names for all the Mines, Mills and Hog Farms that generate resources. It makes the world feel more alive and strategies for which resources give the most benefits change the way you think about what is important.

One of the other most effective new features is being able to tell where enemy groups are headed if they are in visual range. It allows you to make better decisions and ups the desirability for visual range research or different horses.

As we’ve said before Feud is a big game with a small team. We are officially on the final stretch, but the last 5%-10% of a game is always the hardest. Thanks for your patience and interest.

Feud has been a labor of love for everyone on the team. We’ve treated it differently than any game we’ve ever done. While we’ve taken feedback and comments with enthusiasm, we’ve been free from other “overlords” for the first time and it has allowed us to make something amazing that we are excited to share. We have some other good, big announcements concerning Feud that will happen within the next couple of weeks. Stay tuned.

Depth of Extinction release delayed to early next year.

https://hofstudios.itch.io/doe/devlog/12453/build-35-updated-visuals-and-polish
So what is the plan for the future? We are moving the release date from November to early next year so we can avoid the AAA game releases and the Steam winter sale.

Oh well; more stuff for year of squad tactics 2018.

Sorry about that. Releasing a game that we've worked on for 2+ years and it not getting visibility is too scary of a prospect at this time of year. The PR people we talked to basically told us they thought we should hold it. Plus it gives us more time to make the game better. We've got our new AI coming in Build 36 (maybe a week or two) and are looking into adding some machine learning so enemies can adapt to your play style. THis is not for sure, but we have some ideas on how to do it.

I've also been working on some cutscenes that we are going to use for teasers and are going to integrate into boss fights and a few special encounters. They are looking pretty good i think. That would definitely not have been in the game if we released in November as planned.

The other concern is, of course, the balancing. I feel like not having balance right has hurt other small team tactical RPG's (not naming names) so we are excited to have more time to get early, mid and late game more balanced.

mikest is it full release or early access?

I think this was possibly answered by my friend who is making Fell Seal but I'll answer also just for clarity.... This is a Full Release (TM)

We are doing early access on itch.io (as "First Access") and we just released some new keys but haven't really publicized it very much yet. We'll have our teasers and trailer ready soon(ish) and will start talking it up more then.

We're operating from personal funding so there's not a real financial reason to do a Steam Early Access. I personally think it confuses things to have multiple release dates but that's just me. That being said, the plan is to do a few updates after release to add additional content and language support so February won't be final-final.
