7,62 Hard Life
is a fun made enhanced version of the original tactical sim 7,62 High Calibre. Its development started almost immediately after the original game release in 2007. Over 50 people worked on the project in total. We hope you'll enjoy this version, that is available to all owners of the original game on Steam at no extra cost.

Today Hard Life addon contains:
  • 25 additional locations, including ones taken from addon 7,62 Reload (which was released in Russia only) and new ones made from scratch;
  • around 30 new NPCs;
  • more than 100 new story quests, including the possibility to complete the game without joining any side of the conflict, and numerous side quests;
  • more than 1000 new items, including 130 new weapons;
  • ability to fine tune the gameplay and functionality to your tastes (adjust an amount of enemies, Iron Man mode, hunger and thirst modeling, enhanced transport system, limiting an amount of cash NPC traders have and so on);
  • many fixes for the bugs of the original game;
  • widescreen adaptation;
  • other improvements.
Addon is available in Russian and English languages.

I just ran into this mod as it's being promoted on Steam in a bundle with the actual game, and I'm wondering how it compares to the Blue Sun Mod. Steam reviews say there's less weapons than in BSM and some horrible savegame corrupting crashes, but apart from that there doesn't seem to be a lot of information in English. Has anyone tried it?

Strap Yourselves In Serpent in the Staglands Shadorwun: Hong Kong Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag. Pathfinder: Wrath I'm very into cock and ball torture I helped put crap in Monomyth
:necro:

So I've been running this for a while, and it's been fun.

The thing is you are locked into rebel side at the start, but it opens up after. A lot of those jobs are fun though.

Dunno about weapon variety as there fucking enough right now, and I've had only two crashes so far.

Taking out 30-34 bandits armed with rifles, AKs etc. solo with only a revolver was damn fun though.

How is the treasure hunt? IIRC you need to use your dogtag to do some things, most of them are unintuitive but they couldn't find any workaround.

Hear that you need to take care of your vehicle now. Now it remind me of Boiling Point: Road to hell, where you can steal cars, fuel them and repair.

I don't get people having problem with the beginning. Rebels found you unconscious somewhere in the jungle, you must pay you debt (you do it p.quickly, seriously), then you're free. What's the big deal with being bonded with bushwhackers?
Some tutorials take more time than paying this debt.

It takes a while, plus, y'know, fucking CONSTANT bandit ambushes.
Treasure Hunt? Dunno, loot's okay with me only because I barely have space to carry anything.

Blue Sun mod 2.1 have missions from Reload (I did that base defense for sure but forgot questline that lead me here, might be JimBob quest line?
BSM can be activated via Game Properties > Beta and clicking on bsmsomething if you have Steam version of 7,62 HC.
And Hard Life is free for everyone who got copy of High Caliber.

How do I fuse the used up FALs? I have 10 of them, a cleaning kit and the manual, but when I try to select the option it says I need 8 similar samples.

There's actually supposed to be more armors, vests, clothes etc. but they couldn't include it because Steam doesn't allow 3rd party content or something. You can still get it back though, in form of an addon you have to download according to the guide here: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=576574574

Also, how the hell do I get rid of Ivanov's silly VDV hat?

Bought Hard Life on Steam for 1.29 USD.

It starts better than vanilla, thats for sure. In vanilla you swim in gear and money on the 15th day.

But HL already shows problems. Second fight and they give you an M1 Garand and 60 shots of ammo after the second fight...

Wait till you see what you end up against.
Try taking over the mine all by yourself.

Did that (because last playthrough the game hit a showstopper bug of crashing when trying to reenter). Have to reload and do it right because that broke a bunch of quests.

I like the early reactivity in this mod.
If you hide in the bushes in the first fight, you get a pistol. If you do well, you get an AK from the get go.
The seven samurai quest has 2 ways to tackle it, alone or with the village, and maybe 3 rewards. Gold pistol for sale and medallion, sack of gold, and if you decline all - ability to buy gold?
It even has dialogue that references my gender. Like a girl killed 31 bandits omg. Not that it was hard... though all 60 bulleets for the M1 are gone...

The mine though... There are 48 of them. And lotsa accurate guns. Doesnt help that the game spawns me INSIDE the compound for some reason and half the map seems to know where I am.

Weirdly enough, with the rebels help, the boss did not drop the gold 1911 nor can I find his body... Maybe his body is like all bandits? And the gun got picked up by a rebel and he is carrying it?

Weapon stats seem well balanced with random encounter enemies dropping mostly garbage and ammo being rare still.

Found the car, which lacks an engine belt and a tire. When I exit the map though, I am driving... Kek.

CTDs tell you to take a break from the game! Its a feature not a bug.

I'm thinking about going back but the bandit showdown in 2nd map...even though I got large team our ammo problem was painful enough, forcing me to reload dozen of times when I miss too many shots.

I only managed to reach enemies here once due some weird lag in guerillas' AI.
AK sounds cool but no spare magazine, welp.

You can't press "I" key to show dead bodies that you can then loot freely?

I can play with any shitty weapon you can give me but ammo shortage is not funny in the game where enemies vastly outnumber you.
There is first person camera, wish there was manual aim a'la Faces of War, would help with my humble ammo pack...

I dont think spare magazine is a problem. 0 bullets might be...

All the bodies are generic bandits or my rebel soldiers. 2 of them cant be disappeared even. The game is not known for being bugfree...

I dunno, feels pretty great. You might be doing something wrong...
After this you should be swimming in decent .45 ACP

...this is an rpg, even the dogtags have stats...

You can have your player skill shine when you clean the weapons - you have to pick the order of disassembly of a gun from a description! It differs from gun to gun and even pistol to pistol :lol:
Mechanics skill get checked too though

Took me some reloading, but I managed to clear the mine using only that revolver that looks like a .44.

I cleared the mine, fixed the car and am now on a quest to spy on a town (High capacity pump action shotgun is illegal, but running around in a gillil suit with a shotgun and 1911 is OK). How do I find the required info about its defenses? Did notice the Indian dude from Seven has a wanted poster.

As for M1 ammo, you can get more by talking with rebels using an M1 in camp and asking how they are. Some will ask for booze/porn/cigs and trade you a box for each.

I think simply walking into town is enough.
Nah, I think you need to use the dogtags and 'scout the area' option too.

Turns out that the mine boss has a name (if you kill him, it gets displayed) and is running away when the combat starts. He escapes just like you can if he reaches the spawn point. I am hopeful that this is a quest or some shit. Otherwise I let go an armor vest and a journal...

fixed the car
How did you fix the wheel? In my game a grenade exploded the car that has the generator belt... But I also cant fix the wheel.
And the car itself becomes useless when I reach the rebel camp after about 200km, with serious malfunctions that I cant fix at all without help.
Rebels offer to buy the car for 30k. Which seems reasonable. But there is not other car around and it feels so sweet to able to carry all the arsenal that I want...

Jeebus. Why?
And how? Max hip shooting aim? And a barricade on one side so that they wont surround you?

Wheel can be fixed with rubber piece and glue.

Car didn't break down for me.
