Can't promise to keep up with a 24 hours timer. 48 however will be just fine.

Game has begun. It's a battle between the King Tut-too-tan-toot, the Boiling Spirit, King of Flames, Lord of Penitential Torture of Pythium and his disciples, and Thalionmel, Lord of Strength, the Divine Architect, Patron of Soldiers of Ulm and his disciples.

Been awhile since I updated this thread, but game has been progressing well. Turn 15 now, and a couple of small skirmishes already. No big battles yet.

Is it me? Or is the server no longer showing when the next turn will start?

Well! That was a clusterfuck towards the end. For that, I apologise. I didn't expect my intended vacation would coincide with a slew of server connection issues (2 of our remaining players, Sceleria and Ashdod had this, to our annoyance, and couldn't connect towards the end.). In any case, I'm here to offer our official concession.

Well done, Codexia! Caelum did really well there!

On the other hand, our Pythium player definitely showed his inexperience, and being capped by birdmen was just the topping on a shit sundae. Being outplayed like this was definitely a lesson to be taken. I'll post screenshots and stuff from our end when I grab them from the respective players.

As a note, I did not actually play, as I felt being both player and server host would be rather odd.

Now, when do I get barred from Codexia for this absolute shitshow from our team? :D

Fairly sure your picks were shit. Not sure what you expected challenging such a prestigious and elite community as this!

Maybe, maybe! I didn't know what we were about to get when I made that thread all that months ago. Now we know better. :)

On your defense, you fought probably the best non-russkie players on the 'Dex. And Eadee .

Post postmortem, pliz

What were the team nations again

We had Ulm (A4E4N2 Keeper of the Bridge), Caelum (S7E6 Shedu), Aspho (A2W2ExDx Hound of Hades), Asphodel (A2ExDx Bog Mummy). Awake, and O3P1C3G2M1M2 for scales.

They had Pythium (F4W9Sx Neter), Abysia (Moloch), Sceleria (Hound of Hades), Ashdod (Great Sage). With dormant pretender and some scales I forget.

We get the stronger expansion on pretty much all fronts thanks to the awake pretender/disciples, though during expansion the Shedu dies (not before conquering ~10 provinces including a lvl1 throne), got trapped to a shamans tangle vines repeatedly due to wrong script. The pretender got diseased also, but survived till the end.
Not sure what specific things to cite. We had such a huge lead gold-wise from having a decent expansion that it was a done deal p. soon in the game. So we just built infrastructure, troops, research, while sitting on superior econ and then rolled in. Our Hound got killed by some Anakites, but soon after a proper Aspho army obliterated Ashdod's big anakite ball. My Caelians jumped on Pythium before they really had their shit together, and p. quickly took their cap. Also harassed a lot on other fronts with the birdies. Ulm researched Earthpower & Iron Darts, took its Priest smiths and sent them towards Sceleria who had no way to resist. Jotunheim didn't ultimately see much nation on nation action, but they had a strong skelespam communion ball by the end of the game, which took the lvl3 undead throne we needed to win.

The game ended on spring year 3 with us in control of most thrones and 1 enemy cap captured and the rest sieged. We had all 3+ forts each player and a lot of forest recruit labs for Jotun/Aspho. They built a single fort besides their cap, by Sceleria (which Aspho captured).

Looks like a one-sided massacre. Thanks anyway, and I hope we'll see more games.

Get sillier rulesets, I appreciate those.

Well the meta for duels is p much set to bless rush and awakes, they didn't do that plus took weak nations overall.

When domg did 10vs10 it also ended very quickly due to snowball. Nothing you can do in 1vs1 team games, no one will intervene to stop the winner from winning more.

I'm pretty sure he meant that he would petition for the codex team to get barred if they lost while out-drafting you that hard.
