Microsoft decided to milk AoE even more and now releasing a Win 8 and Win Phone 8 only AoE which looks like a Travian and/or Clash of Clans rip off.
This is going to end well...

Thanks to everyone who bought AOE 2 Enhanced edition. Without them this marvelous game would not have been possible. :greatjob:

The HD edition was cheap damnit! A few games and then you realized why you got bored with the original in the first place.

20 bucks seems a little it too much for a game whose "new" features were already available via free mods. Kinda the same situation than BGEE.
Although to be fair it goes on sale quite often.

Also there's this Forgotten Empires mod which needs the HD edition nowadays.
I just have to try it out, since it claims to improve the AoE2 AI, the only thing that ever really bothered me in this masterpiece. AoE2 with a competent AI that doesn't send rams with nearly no protection and armies attacking in single file would be really awesome.
