    Play STALKER: SoC as remedy.

    With crosshair off.

    Also fixed.

I prefer playing Stalker Misery with crosshair off, 2.0 should be out in 2 months

I may get into it when it's out.

My point, however, was better shown using a vanilla game.

Fuck those carnival rifles with their physics-defying bad pellet trajectory! How they even DO this shit!

Unlike Skyway I've never had any problem hitting stuff in SoC.

The accuracy and effective ranges must be toned down a bit, otherwise there would be no use for SVD in this game, but with short bursts, good firing technique and relatively undamaged weapon you can pop perfect headshots at least as far as ironsights allow you to see what you're shooting at.

The trick in STALKER is to forget full-auto altogether and use single shots or short bursts if you're feeling confident and if your weapon is pretty good, and always target the head. Scopes are a must if you're having trouble with shooting enemies from afar with ironsight and most assault rifles can mount one. The first weapons you get in SoC are of terrible quality/accuracy but you can get a rather good and accurate assault rifle pretty early on in the game. I usually go for it as soon as I can when I play SoC.
