  1. Bros, I would recommend giving this a look. There's a demo.

Use your mercenaries to rescue people and kill zombies. Randomized maps and modifiers, and even what mercenaries are available in a turn. Closest thing I could compare it to would be tower defense, though it's fairly different from that as well.
I tried the demo and got a big enough kick out of it to spend the $10. I probably wouldn't have normally except it's the work of one guy, and I've got a weak spot for $10 indie games.

  2. Oh, shit. Well I blame everyone who isn't Trash for letting that thread fall down and making me wait this long to buy it. :rpgcodex:

I tried the demo -- enjoyed it. Still, think I'll wait for it to be in an indie pack. I also promised myself I'd actually play the dozen or so backlogged games I have before buying anything new I haven't specifically targeted.

It's a coffee break game but a fun one. Love the whole 'we had to destroy the town to save it' mentality in it. Bombs away!

  7. Just won my first campaign, cut it really close though. Zeds had 5,400 points when I hit 6,000. I see part of why I won was due to luck (Had some good starting mercs so I was able to capture 3 territories early on, and had some rank 4 infection zones bundled for easy llama bombing) and restarting missions to get at least a bronze rating instead of ironmanning it and taking my lumps.

Had many great moments though. Helicopter swooping in and picking up survivors trapped in a dead end street before the swarm got to them, firing artillery on survivors to catch the zombies closing in on them, running an infantry unit around frantically trying to save the last 5 or so people on a map and clear an LZ to pick them up. This game tickled my zombie fancy really well.
