If no bodies or spirits are crushed by the glorious Obsidian coding and polishing skills within a few weeks after release, NV is starting to look, maybe, possibly, worth checking out: OE's writing isn't too bad when they make an effort, the moronic kill cam can be turned off and the hardcore mode is in.
Only thing left that I'm worried about is the level of attempted juvenile lulziness they opted for in the game: any info on that to look forward to in future updates, Ausir?

What does NV remove? From what I've seen, they only added things. You still have lulsy weapons, lulsy characters / dialogue...

It removes all of the wonderful furry porn mods that Fallout 3 fans love.

blobert, how old are you? Just curious to see if you are younger than my 11 year old nephew. I would guess yes. Probabably 8 or 9 years old. Someday, when you are older, you will realize how annoying kiddies like you really are.

There are two mods that already did that and they don't really improve much the fact its gameplay was just full of fail, boring and shit. So essentially it is more of the same shit, only with the rape of the unborn fetus of Van Buren also tacked within.
There are also a few "survival mode" mods that are infinitely more complex and interesting than the New Vegas hardcore mode (at least as described so far). Mods are a double edged sword when it comes to expansions and/or sequels, it's pretty disheartening when random modders make (to at least the level of a tech demo) everything the developers wanted to put in the expansion/sequel first. Even if they swipe most of it, they'll still have to dumb it down for the masses, and the result will never be as good as the mods were. See also: JA 1.13 and the recently announced remake, sequel, online etc.

Woah, easy bro. I made the same mistake a year or so ago. If you check out BLOBERT's post history, you'll realise he is not only a full grown man, but one of the most intelligent and amusing posters here at the codex.

Without BLOBERT, the codex would be a empty, soulless shell - (a bit like a stardock game...) :smug:

Yes, well, depends on how you look at things, doesn't it?

For example are his retarded views true or just part of his desperate attempt to satirize the Codex?

When talking about oldschool games in a positive light, he's pretty normal (apart from the caps lock). He just gets satrirical when the healthy appreciation for old games turns into the usual codexian non constructive bilefest.
