I've been playing it a bit lately. Pretty fun.

 

What is it?

 

2D side-scrolling MOBA.

 

So basically lol 2-D? I will pass lolz.

 

Not even close. It's not a strategy game. It plays like a platform shooter.

 

I don't know what the fuck MOBA is.. I do know Awesomenauts is a fun competetive sidescroller.

 

Multiplayer Online Battle Arena.

I really fucking loathe that definition, but it's what's commonly used. Dotalike, while not perfect itself, is still orders of magnitude better than fucking MOBA.

 

Get with t3h lingo, consolegamer! And, yes, there's less strategy than something like DOTA or LoL but it's still entertaining for a few hours.

 

Fun game. Haven't put too many hours into it, but I suppose that's why the novelty hasn't worn off yet. Fun to play single player if you're opposed to playing with other people. There's only skins as DLC so no actual content is lost to microtransactions.

 

I heard a joke that its called MOBA because Riot doesnt like being reminded that they didnt invent the game.

 

I had some good fun with split screen multiplayer. One of the few good games to offer that on PC.

 

So how much do I need to put into the game shop to win every match?

 

Well, you'll need approximately $400,-, here's the list:
6 copies of awesomenauts
1 low-spec computer to play a second instance of the game.
Now just challenge yourself online in a 3v3 match and you win every match.

For skins.

 

There's no pay-to-win DLC or heroes. All the stuff, like DOTA2, is purely cosmetic.
