I know how spell progression works, I just don't think that having different copies of the same spell does anything other than inflate the spell number. And playing Wizard and Sorcerer is not a completely different experience. It's a slightly different way of using the same abilities.

 

I agree that Pathfinder got a lot of undeserving shit from the mainstream media but taking that as an example of anything is pretty pointless. You can find all kinds of stupid statements from the mainstream, it's just the way the market works unfortunately but it's good that the sequel is getting even larger exposure.

What I see here however is some autistic tribalism being put on display where brainlets have difficulty reconciling the notion that some are able to enjoy both games for their respective strengths and weaknesses. Although most of that caveman thinking comes from people tagged appropriately as retards. Then there is also the guy who has a necromancer/magic fetish and mistakes his personal taste as objective facts whenever that fantasy is not properly recognized in a video game.

 

If you could plot the discussion somehow, it would be a jagged line that occasionally intersects with BG3 and veers off for a page or two about something else before barely touching BG3 on the way back.

I take the middle road: DOS2 was indeed shit, with overthunk decisions that made the cool gameplay of DOS overfussy.

But I predict BGIII will be good.

Larian have a history of doing great games then shit games then great games again.

Sometime ago you've admitted that you never played D:OS 2 and your last attempt at DOS: 1 bored you to the tears. Have you tried D:OS 2 already or you still criticizing people for criticizing game you personally deemed unworthy to spend your time on (for a 3 years since release)?

 

I liked Div2 and the expansion, they were pretty fun.
It's been a long time since I played it, but as I recall the lolradnub humor and Larian idiocy was actually restrained enough to be entertaining instead of exasperating.
If D:OS 1&2 had been able to maintain that kind of tone instead of going full retardo, I would've liked those games much more (maybe even been able to finish either one of them).

 

Of course, i mean wizard of faeurn use mordenkainen spells and other wizard named spell coming from others planes.
Because D&D is all in the same multiverse and entities like the lady of pain have more power than the gods.

 

About 5e and demigods and gods:
They don’t have stat in 5e, it’s on purpose: they don’t need stat, they are a different tier and mortal can’t even think.

what mortal can kill is god’s avatar, tiamat is CR 30 (like the tarrasque) 30 is the max CR of pubblished official monster, and is an easy job for 4 lvl 20, for 6 is almost a joke, because tiamat is in the rise of tiamat campaign and the party fight her at lvl 15.

When the party face a single enemy it’s always in party favor. This why 5e require some add in a fight.

Yep; On 3.5e, a lv 20 fighter can kill an army of lv 2 fighters. On 5e is different. Numbers are a insane advantage.

TB isn't in the alpha test but based on the Kickstarter news I believe it is intended to be a feature at release, yes.

 

I love giving options to the player BUT PF WotR will have Turn Based, PoE 2 received a turn based after his release. A mod managed to put turn based for PFKM, why Larian doesn't give the option of RtWP? I only managed to complete some harsher encounters on kingmaker with turn based mod and loved dark sun : shattered lands and temple of elemental evil. so i an NOT a "rtwpfag"

Arcanum is my favorite game ever but the combat sucks in TB or RTWP mode.
Kingmaker has much better combat with or without the TB mod - with the TB mod the only thing it is really missing is an easy way to do a 5-foot step I think.

Larian has a good TB system worked out already that should be easy to adapt into what they want. I think RTWP probably isn't the best use of their resources but if they did do it, I don't think it would cause much of the TB mode, if any.

 

True. Troika was much more competent than Larian. If they can't do it, it's best Larian doesn't even attempt it. Good thing owlcat isn't completely inept. Lots of bugs but they aren't full useless degenerates
