    To remove missing, you need to re write everything. Ranged combat, feats, spells that increases AC, spells that allows saves, spells that allow SR(...)

    And note, Larian criticized the leveling and even spell slots, for then is not intuitive.

    I think that Larian is developing Sword Coast Legends 3 with BG3's name

    Every game that tried to re write the rules ended with an poorer experience. This applies to PfK making sneak attack ridiculous broken, this applies to nwn1 where pale masters are useless due only one summon BS and lack of +caster level from the class, this applies to nwn2's warlock that is a piece of crap, but when i installed an mod that made the class more pnp-like, i loved the class, this applies to every game, in every time. With few exceptions when the rule alteration is optional. For eg, IWD/BG:EE Dragon's Disciple. This class is a prestige class on 3e and din't exist on aD&D, even IWD2(3e) doesn't have the class. But i loved to solo the game with the class in question.

    Baldur's Gate doesn't even have turn-based combat.

    My dream is a mod for the IE games like Kingmaker has gotten that makes their combat actually proper and correct, though

    If BG3 would be just "on par with DA:O" I'd be fucking disappointed, given that even with all their shortcoming D:OS 1 and 2 are already far better games.

    EDIT: People, you can spare me the autistic emotes. You won't convince me that Dragon Age Origins is anything better than dull, forgettable crap.
    Bitching it's "the best in the series" may be true but that's just setting the bar low.

    Just kidding, but if for then missing doesn't work, leveling is too slow, and spell slots is not intuitive, will the game change more the rules than SCL? Because SCL at least maintained the "leveling" aspect...

    It's not that people hold it in such a high regard, but in the context of what might happen to BG3 it's a bearable amount of popamole and it has some good points outside of that, like the origin stories. Again, you can't expect a TB party-based 5E 2D RPG with great itemization and story, it's just not gonna happen.
