Also it is possible this will be using Planescape setting but not be a Torment like game with heavy focus on storytelling.

The "Unraveled" part suggests a connection with PS:T, though.
Still means nothing. Considering Bg1EE sold most and PSTEE least I would guess they would like to earn more money with this game instead of less. Also the fate of TToN would certainly make them worry.

Can you imagine how much Gaiders shitty writing an even worse plotting'd fuck up the Planescape setting, Lady of Pain would probably start dropping pathetic cheesy one liners, an Vhailor come out as gender incorporeal.

PST was already re-released on DVD in 2009 and went for sale at GOG.com in 2010, so it's possible that its original cult following (or any possible interested "newcomers") already owned these versions (apart from owning the original 4 or 2-cd version) and didn't see a reason to buy the EE as well.

NuTorment's failure, on the other hand, is unique and fresh.

TToN's the bloom was cool. too bad about everything else in the game. very forgettable.

wonder if they have Avellone on board as some sort of consultant for credibility or if they've realized it's pointless to try to appeal to the old guard after the enhanced editions and TToN.

It will suck.
We will never know. There will be a plot point, a character, or a dialog line that will hijack all the RPGcodex conversation ; there will be lots of talk about agenda pushing, but I think we will have to wait before page 130 for someone to ask "But is the game any good ? It's been out for two years now.".

Someone will say it's good for what it is, another one that the combat is pretty unbalanced, their voices will be unheard in the middle of people claiming it's a game for faggots.
