The anti magic eye of Beholders interferes with them using the rest of their eye magic including disintegrate, they can't use it together. I think they can technically turn off their anti magic, cast disintegrate, then turn antimagic back on for the player's turn, but they can't use anti magic to suppress items and spells that would protect from disintegrate while using disintegrate.

Now Beholder Mages, on the other hand, are pure bullshit slingers that learn spells as a wizard, cast spells as a sorcerer, and can cast 10 spells a round as free actions.

No, that's right - if you disintegrate the party, there will be literally nothing to eat.


Not exactly... Any creature struck by Disintegrate takes 2d6 points of damage per caster level ( Max40d6). Any creature reduced to 0 or fewer hit points is entirely disintegrated, leaving behind only a trace of fine dust.

So you can either inhale the dust or just reduce their HP to the single digit and then bite...
