I like it when Codexers go full hipster in a totally unironic manner.

Pretty much, yeah. Here's all the minor trash that doesn't deserve its own topic each.

Well I mean they all deserve to be in one topic together. Better to consolidate than to let the retardo leak out everywhere.

On the contrary, I believe most of the trash in the News forum doesn't deserve its own topic and should be here instead. BTE is the funny microcosm of it. There is a reason this thread is probably almost as, if not as much or even more viewed than the entire News forum as a whole.

The defecation Gaider has just spoken in a PR conference shouldn't deserve its own thread.

Of course the fact VoD is as funny as a German sitcom and that there is unfortunately almost nobody else interested in posting news influences that.

The op is a faggot moron, but large amount of replies is surprisingly sound. Someone even namesdrops PST, and another states that KOTOR2>KOTOR1. Especially baffling when you consider that that is not only a Bioware forum, but a MMO Bioware forum - scratch that, a Star Wars MMO Bioware forum!

I hate the anime art style so much that I have never even experienced the more on-rails than Bioware crap, emo romance shit that was later adopted by EAwhore and juvenile 14-year old "heroes" in an even more ridiculous plot combined with a dumbed down gameplay featuring a castrated form of blob combat that usually involves "PRESS A BUTTON TO WIN", excessive grinding, as many trash mobs as Dragon Age 1 and 2 together, forced cutscenes, dialogues that are literally like reading a book(at least they don't give you the illusion of choice) and dull minigames.

    Sounds like I haven't missed anything. :D

It is that way because it's an MMO forum, so the audience goes beyond the usual Bioware fans. That's part of what makes ToR forums entertaining, you have these people who actually believe Drew Karpyshyn is a master storyteller (like the OP of that thread) interacting with the outside world. So much butthurt inevitably follows.

You just reminded me about fight against that boss monster in FF X. The plan was, Yuna would use Holy, main character Ultima, and Riku would use Flare.

So after Gigagravija, when everyone recovered, Yuna cast Holy, main character doublecast Ultima, and Riku: "Hey he is falling down, I thought I would blow him up with Flare, he never gave me a chance, he exploded before."

I thought I'd defeat him in a glorifying round two... Too bad.

On the other hand, these are choices and consequences bitches. For some party setups it's a difficult (and timed) fight.

Huh. I thought I posted something on this page. Deleted? It was a random pic though, don't remember what it was.

fake edit: it was something on facebook. Jaesun, are you still on the prowl to keep a ~200 page thread on topic? If so, :salute:

That's true, but I still don't see how it's bad design. Bosses never tell you the optimal sequence of actions you should input on most turns. You must figure it out yourself by studying the boss' AI and finding out if there are any exploitable patterns to it. I think it's fun.
WRPGs are allowed too. The Herald of Zehir in SoZ had the HP of a baby mammoth, as I recall, as did the Master and Frank Horrigan in Fallout 1 and 2. I don't think anyone minded them much.
Hey, I never said it was a fair criticism of WRPGs over JRPGs. I was just protesting your statement that JRPGs don't require party setup.

To be fair, people have asked for the same thing in WoW. Fuck if I know why.

That's to be expected of a game with millions of drone-ish subscribers.
Don't stop reading at the first page, by the half of the second one you can see the discontentment a little better

Well, I sort of wished to have an offline mode in WoW that I could turn on or off at my leisure, like these few times when I felt like exploring the areas and doing some quests without having some morons running around. Kind of like DDO does by instancing everything, including outdoor areas. Most of the time I was fine with people running around and the occasional chance meeting.

I'm guessing this is because you can kill all of them quickly with optimal builds/weapons (unlike the drawn-out affairs of the few JRPG bosses I've fought). None of them are particularly good fights, but health points don't have anything to do with why that is.

The Master had perfectly reasonable hp for end-game players. Enough to make an average player pop some Class-A drugsbuffs and sail through - it was his bodybuilder toyboys that were the real danger. Horrigan has X-TREME hp, but this is partially offset by the potential addition of the party members, Sgt. Granite, and the sentry turrets.
