    I'm glad that you enjoyed the article! I'd recommend you to take a peek at mediumdifficulty.com tomorrow for my newest article, in which I disagree with Walker's editorial "It's Time for Games to Offer Us Solid Food".

    As a journalist/critic, Walker doesn't seem completely clueless - his recent Grimrock review addressed many of the things I wanted addressed - but it's exactly this "games have evolved / when will games finally evolve" stuff that I take exception to. Games are three thousand years old, and some of the oldest ones are a lot more interesting than the new, cutting-edge stuff.

    I'm glad that good game articles aren't limited to one-man blogs and gamasutra.

    walker and his ilk are perfectly comfortable with surreptitiously taking their minds out for air when it's a low-backlash target like an indie dungeon crawler, but it's when the time comes to talk about headliner games and their issues that you see their actual integrity

    it brings to mind the same professionals who give dragon age 2 90% and far better and less commercially prominent games 70-80%
