I'm getting a bit tired of the level of group-think on the Spiderweb Software forums.

This guy has four posts, and they're already banding together to label him as a troll who makes inane posts about pricing.

Also, great, so no compromises at all were made with the Ipad version, like disabling the closing of doors or making a huge, unreadable font. The hardcore fans who supported Jeff through thick and thin get to pay double, while the Apple hipsters get a 50% rebate (or 75% when there is a sale).

I like Jeff, but I'm also not a charity.

Wonder if Avernum will debut on Steam on the same day as all the other places? Or will he milk the fans who have enabled him to make a living for the past 15 years?

Also most of these guys seem to be aspies, and many are a little weird, look at these incredibly awkward aspie attempts at humor.

Among them is Dikiyoba, who has been LARPing a green fire lizard monster (don't even remember the exact name, that lizard thing from Geneforge) for 7 years and 9000 posts, and always makes weird self-referential posts, referring to himself to the third person.

Or Alorael, who has roleplayed something I can't even understand for 11 years and 20,000 posts, and who seems even worse.

These are the same guys who complete all of his games multiple times with one-man parties.

 

That's a very oddly shaped hand.

 

Is this surprising given that the members are probably all Mac users?

That honestly does sound like trolling, bros. Especially since that guy wrote a whole article about how bad the gameplay/story segregation is in DA2. He kept calling it an "excellent RPG" while complaining about nearly every single aspect, of course, genuine criticism of such a "major release" is completely unthinkable for these cocksuckers. Still, he did see a lot of its flaws, so that Fallout comment is weird as fuck - I doubt most actual biodrones would even think something like that.
