I like how they pat each other's back over not being racist or homophobic unlike those meanies at the Codex, like that's something to be proud of and not a basic requirement to be considered a decent person

 

I admit that I hate using cheap buzzwords like "storyfag".

But this is his argument?

I mean, he had a pretty good chance at a cheap shot at the Codex here. Codexers have low IQs, which force them to use buzzwords to make their arguments for them - hence them being unable to describe their thoughts using words other than popamole and combatfag. Instead, he just said it's bad, because it's not inclusion? Who gives a damn?

Yeah, the fact that many Codexers use the terms 'storyfag', 'newfag', etc., and that the people here have a wide variety of political and moral beliefs, from one extreme to the other, and everything in between, shows quite conclusively how horrible this place is, far from being a 'paragon of inclusion'.

It totally isn't relevant that this obviously 100% racist and homophobic place has a gay staff member, had a black one, and has plenty of gays, trannies, and assorted groups everyone here apparently despises as members. That doesn't show that it's actually pretty inclusive, not at all.



People need to learn to look beyond just words, to what's actually being said, and who it's being said by.

 

Point me to another forum where a respected member can post tranny porn of themselves, and remain a respected member. I think RPS would explode if something like that happened over there.

 

I'm one of the Codex's token anti-racist anti-homophobe liberals, but I guess I don't count in outsider's view of the Codex. Of course General Discussion is a shithole, you can say the same about most game forums. It doesn't excuse it but it is the sad reality about the internet.

 

This. Storyfag and popamole and so on aren't just buzzwords if used correctly. Assuming you've been on the Codex long enough to absorb the lingo, saying you're a storyfag informs other Codexers of your predilections without going into great detail. And popamole has a wide range to depending on the context, much like decline.

Although saying storyfag instead of "Storyfan" has the added benefit of scaring away goddamn idiots like RPS posters. Our goddamn idiots are much more refined, such as myself.

 

It doesn't really help that the GD santorum occasionally leaks out into "how do black people play RPGs when they can't read" threads in GRPG or the memorable "how do I get niggers off my ad banners for a nigger-free Codex experience" thread that was entirely seriously treated in Site Feedback. It's more of a lazy excuse to dismiss the place as a whole than a legitimate way to dismiss our gaming opinions, but I can see how it's off-putting.
