The Penny-Arcade douches are asking their fans to pay them to make comics, immature jokes, play games and bully people. This takes the cake, though this is par for the course for the Penny-Arcade douches.

I would consider if the kickstarter was for them to vanish from public society and get us to be fortunate enough to never hear from them ever again.

It horrifies me they've raised 113k at this point. I mean fuck, I wasn't really sold on Doublebear delivering Dead State at all/in a timely manner, and I'd rather they got this additional 113k than Penny Arcade. What is it about the PA crew that gives me the creeps so much? Something always feels amiss when I look through their site. Like Scientology. Their fans come off like cult members and Jer and Mike have that smug look all the time like they're pulling off the crime of the century. It doesn't feel authentic. Like they may have been consulting a marketing agency from the very beginning. The creepiest is that extra credits crap with the paternal, authoritative yet friendly voice explaining how games are and should be as if the viewer is a preschooler. Basically you have a couple of gen-x entrepreneurs marketing to millennials with all the cynicism of boomers with a dash of dickish narcissism.
