For example so that kids wouldn't get into smoking or so that people wouldn't be forced to passively smoke by smokers. The basic difference between smoking and overeating is that not smoking doesn't require any willpower if one haven't started smoking and tobacco industry was doing a lot of work to make smoking look attractive to kids and teens. Additionally, as recently as 15 years ago, smokers were turning most of public areas into mandatory passive smoking zones.

It's not like people wish to lack willpower. Also, from what I've read there's some fundamental difference in how brain works in people who overeat and that willpower is simply not enough to stop overeating (not to mention that it may be already used up for doing other stuff).
I would put the blame for the scale of the overeating epidemics on the food industry which creates lots processed food with "optimized" taste that turns lots of people into food junkies because they buy more food than healthy people. Additionally these processed foods are often cynically advertised as healthy.

 

Attack on TB is a much higher priority.

If this is popular, many future TB RPG developers will be tempted to switch to RTS with their kickstarter campaigns

I think somebody in this thread mentioned they hate fat people because being fat is like a rich decadence or something. It's not. At least in the first world, poor people are much more likely to be obese than rich people.

I stopped being obese when I got on Welbutrin. I had no energy to move before that and gained weight not because overeating. I eat the same as I did before, but now I actually do things so it is muscle instead of fat.

 

But their brains work differently because they overeat or they overeat because their brains work differently?

I eat this kind of food all the time and I'm not fat. Actually some years ago I was pretty skinny.

Avoid abusing carbohydrates is a good start and you don't need too much willpower to do this.

That designer is a retard. TB is only going to be obsolete the day they invent a perfect Mind-Machine interface, perhaps not even then. TB allows a more calculated, strategic rythm of combat and flux. It makes single attacks more meaningful and combat less repetitive than mindless mouseclicking and button-pressing. It also denies both the AI and the player any advantage through popamole of clickspeed, and rather allows player smarts and character skill to dominate.

 

Another thing RE overweight/obesity, losing fat can be more difficult for some which requires an extra effort on their behalf, some are lucky and have a naturally fast metabolism and can eat all the garbage food and not put on any fat, some require the effort of counting calories with strict macro-nutrient balance and exercise regimen. The lack of education about healthy lifestyle choices, willingness of a society to accept every victim due to a culture of tolerance and the challenge of purchasing and cooking a healthy balanced meal vs cheap takeaway in an instant gratification world help to create this epidemic.

Yeah, while my native kwanzia might plow down the Doritos there is also the simple issue of people not moving enough. I would actually say that is a worse issue than anything else.

My wife had some health problems for years after giving birth which made her much more lethargic, which is why she gained weight. Her health has improved and we are working on thinning her out now, but for women it takes a looooooot of time to lose significant amounts of weight.

Point is: it's not always food or bad life choices. Stop being hateful fucks (except about video games).

 

in my case the depression was so severe that i literally atrophied into a vegetable. Once on meds i started an exercise routine of walking 100 feet - that wore me out for the day. After about 6-8 months, my routine extended to several miles at almost a jog for at least 45min a day, 7 days a week.

 

I hate having to look at fat people, but fortunately they rarely leave their trailers. And the fatter everyone else gets, the better I look by comparison. Bring on the butterpocalypse!
