Wasn't the Witcher 2 released before Dark Souls?

Possibly, but I don't think there was a whole lot that Dark Souls did that wasn't in Demon's Souls somehow.

I think that's exactly what our bro Ninjerk was getting at.

I know time was distorted in Lordran but I didn't know that time distortion extended to the real world.

I couldn't agree more. It's the only fanbase I know of that actually accepts fanfiction as actual canon. They are truly, scum of the Earth.

I thought that was inspired by the Arkham games.

The first article I found in search mentioned Arkham, DeS, and something else.

Oh my God, that video is so boring. Phenomenally boring, but at least they preserved TES duck-stealth.

Also, wtf? Did they get spears into this piece of crap or is that some spell? Actually nevermind, I don't care.

Yep. You just need a quick glance at the Dark Souls 1/2 threads in jRPG to see that.

I remember my brief foray into the Dark Souls 1 thread. I simply gave up after a while. Even suggesting they implement pause (because some of us have lives and sometimes have to get up to do something at the most inopportune moments) was met with cries about what a casual I was.

Oh, I can understand their reasoning. It's the way they carried themselves that was odd. I would have expected such a reaction had someone suggested a quest compass.

Dark Souls fans are like Call of Cthulhu fans, they're atheists who love feeling persecuted, this feeling of "it's me against the whole of humanity and dark forces" and who revel in material that gives weight to their nihilistic belief system.

But Cthulhu is technically a God, and thus making atheism irrelevant, how can they like it ?
