I think Kotaku might be trying to pull some kind of "springtime for Hitler" scheme here, trying to make the worst articles imaginable so their website goes under and they can steal money from investors. Except people keep visiting and reading their shit, so they have to make even worse articles to try and drive their audience away. It makes more sense to me than Kotaku being a legitimate website.

All children are indoctrinated by their parents (or whoever is in a position of authority over them, really).

It seems to be especially bad in Kwazoo, though.

It's only bad if you don't agree with how they're being indoctrinated.

Well this is a good start...

Someone tries to correct these idiots but it doesn't go too well.

    :notsureifserious:

    They're actually serious. :dead:

Steam forums are worse than bioware forums sometimes it seems.

Steam forums for popular/newer games tend to have discussions on par with youtube comments on cat videos.

Baldur's Gate was technically turn based and so was KoTOR since they're both based on D&D, so I don't get what the drama is all about.

Don't quite live up to your name with that trolling, round based real time =/= technically turn based; I suppose you could argue it's close to being phase based but that's a big stretch as well.

I suppose Mass Effect is turn based as well because you can pause it and assign orders to your squad.

Since every game is RPG, why not take the next step and make them all turn based ?

Yeah, you could just define a turn as distance covered in one step since it's a discrete unit then even Dear Esther would be a turn based game.

Turn-based is a technical limitation relic from decades ago.

The guy is basically a PR rep for a company, he should that expressing a controversial opinion that could reflect badly on his employers will get him fired.

Don't they have fucking guidelines for social media use?

ME is turn-based because you can use your controller to turn. I thought that was a given. Every game can be a turn-based RPG, even Tetris.

You are securly placed under a chest that gives you cover. An enemy is shooting you with a gun. But when he needs to reload, it's your turn to act. A new turn based™ system catering to the wider audience.
