There's another lackluster review of Dungeon Siege 2: Broken Worlds. UK based gaming site Pro-G has given the expansion pack a 5/10 with the only "pro" to it being fans of the original get more game. Anyway, here's a paragraph on how much more:

Dungeon Siege II featured quite an epic quest, but Broken World isn't nearly as expansive. The main quest can be completed in around ten hours, and only a few more if you tackle the side quests. The adventure doesn't compare with the original game's either, with what are mostly generic dungeons and repetitive attacks on mobs of enemies. Dungeon Siege II featured plenty of variety, but that simply isn't the case in the expansion. It is a trickier game though, and staying alive proves to be a real challenge when a lot of enemies are attacking.

I'm just wondering how long the initial game was versus the expansion percentage-wise. A lot of reviews have been mentioning how short this expansion is, but typically expansions are shorter than the original game.

Yeah - I was a little surprised that the fans got up in arms when the IWD:HOW expansion clocked in at "only" 15 hours or so, considering that a lot of full FPS games offer only 6-8 hours' worth of SP gaming these days.

I guess after 200 hours + of BG2 people though an IE engine expansion should be longer...

I'm more curious to know whether this expansion is selling. They made an expansion. Did people really like the original?

I'm one of the few people that liked the original, and only because of the huge multiplayer map (the single player story was boring).

DS2 was just dowright boring boring boring.
