    Here, you niggers.
Start was at 3rd Crusade. Took it slower and helped HRE become a monster blob.

Also defeated the mongol horde at Nicopolis but didn't take screenies.

Yeah, gonna convert them over to EU3 as well. I always like having a big bad horde to fight against.

    EDIT:

The idea basically is to have africa, egypt, south italy conquered then split the empire into serbia, greece, anatolia, georgia, syria&jerusalem, egypt, africa and italy and write unification wars events and missions for eu3.

Was there some debug command that lets you see a child's exact birth date? Oh and playing as pagan, how big of a priority should the reforming of faith be? As in, how many centuries do I have from TOG startdate until the feminine monotheists start spamming holy wars against me.

And how come low crown authority gives -30 opinion to vassals when the tooltips said it'd only be -5. THE TOOLTIPS ARE A LIE!

No debug command necessary. If you hover over their age (I think it was age anyway) it should show their exact birth date.

It should be high priority. Reforming allows you to change succession laws, which will allow you to more easily consolidate power. The downside is that you lose the massive attrition on your religious lands for invaders, so it can make you more vulnerable to holy wars temporarily.

The -30 is for the law change itself (raising authority causes butt-hurt amongst vassals) and expires with a new ruler or after a certain amount of time (forgot how long). The -5 is permanent and comes from having low authority.

It is most interesting question in TOG games so far. Unreformed pagans have plenty of disadvantages, but it is not something you want to get rid of with first opportunity. Reforming religion significantly slow down your expansion and your economy. Possiblity reforming your faith usually means, that your already strong enough to conquer easily your neighbours even without insane bonuses. But you probably want to delay it until you build up your core holdings. So I say it is somewhere after first 40-50 years. But it depend on your current situation.
In theory you could easily change your religion to more advanced in first week of game via concubines. But it probably cripple your country.

A first view of the convertion:

Except for the Reunification Wars events I was thinking of writing sunni uprisings for Syria-Jerusalem and Egypt, as well as Timurid doom invasion for Armenia and then Anatolia.

Also, in my CK2 game the golden horde was taken everything in Russia as well as Hungary then converted to catholicism. Gonna convert that as well and write a Russian Revolution event around ~1500.

Western Europa is also untouched as of yet. Germany will be split between Saxony and Bavaria and France will be a balkanised mess.

So, weekend is here and I may get around to downloading my newly purchased gold copy of CK2. What nation/ruler is a good one to play to learn the ins and outs of the basic game without being unfairly disadvantaged or steamrolling everything like Britain in Vicky?

For 1066 start try some dukes in France or HRE. Bohemia looks like good choice. Or Tuscany.
I can not say anything about 862, since I only played as pagan and they are too op. But if ypu want choose from them, Ruric and Popiel have a good position, but they not too strong in the begining.

-Download Magna Mundi ported to Divine Wind:

    Latest Version

You may also want to fix EU3 to support higher memory allocation as shown in those Hotfix links

-Delete barbary_coast.txt, factions.txt, naval_maintenance.txt, naval_piracy_global.txt and naval_piracy_provincial.txt from the event files. Those events are made of AIDS, and because the vanilla piracy can't be disabled in DW, it's better to just ax everything than trying to fix it, or being an ubik and having three layers of piracy together.

-Open Reputation.txt and add the following line inside the trigger bracket of the FRAMED! Event, which should be event # 500007 (search for the number in notepad++ to find it):

    badboy = 0.xx

(xx being a percentage which you want to be the minimum after which FRAMED! might happen, to prevent retarded shit like it happening to a 0 infamy country)

-Do this scenario you created as a modmod of Magna Mundi ported to Divine Wind rather than over vanilla.

Because otherwise banal map painting will be banal map painting.

There is mod, that deals with vanilla piracy. And he, if I am not mistaken, was integrated in all major mods, including MMDW.

Yea, that's fun2eu, which also includes its own CK1 campaign port.

Personally I'm looking to ports with EU4.

Fuuuck, I already wrote and tested a bunch of events for Reunification. Am also using very low infamy limit to curb map paint.

Will see if it works with MM. Otherwise I probably won't bother.

I got this game and all it's DLC, including The Old Gods. Where do I start? I have tried played EUIII a few times but was never able to stick with it, even though a friend always tells me the Paradox games aren't really complicated once you "get" them, it always felt like too much to learn after a long day of work.

Look at Vaarnas & Grinolfs posts on this page for examples. After that you can either try to play the game by trial & error or look up some small tutorial/guide to get a grip of the game and it's mechanics.

Hah, thanks, I started reading page 1 and up and then remembered that info might be outdated and it would be better to ask.

Didn't cross my mind to read the last pages (because I am an idiot).

    1. Turn off the Sunset Invasion.
    2. Fun to play: 867 - vikings; 1066 - central-eastern Europe.
    3. The only non intuitive stuff:
    - Fucking de jure rules everything. Vassals will get butthurt if they don't control everything in their domain. Always include lower tiltes when granting a duchy etc. De jure duchies map helps a lot.
    - as a feudal lord you shouldn't control cities and temples. Right click on the city/temple -> create a new vassal.

Look for some tutorial LP like this? It is already outdated in case of various mechanics, but core gameplay didn't change that much from that time.
I also remember, that there were various guides on official forum, but first you need to register your game in order to get access to them.
    Also

which hotfix to use, the 2 gig one or 4 gig one?

also, delete those txt files in vanilla EU folder or mod folder? im guessing mod folder but you can never be sure.

EDIT: well it works up to "Adapting History", there it slugs for awhile, and then just throws me back to desktop, no errors or anything.

    dangit.

uhm, got it to start after patching the exe (also making sure i got the 5.2 DW patch and the 5.6.1 version of MMDW) and got to click on a whole gang of decisions right at the start, Sapmi was there so shit seemed to work, but when i clicked on the "Sliders available" tab it like crashed back to desktop with a "EUIII has stopped working" error.

    seems very....unstable.

That was a suggestion for Corporate_Jew_Master about the scenario he exported from CKII, rather than a general one. I guess this can chalk it off. The best Magna Mundi is the one for In Nomine, period.

I thought it was obvious it depended on whether you had less than or 4 GB or more of RAM

And obviously, any change to mods involves files in the mod folder itself.
