Wow, nice that my interview attracted so many of you devs. You should definitely stay, we might be a bit rough sometimes [as Elwro said, don't click the links  ], but we can be a good source of inspiration and most here seem to be pretty interested in your game, too.

Not surprising. I don't know a single person that has even heard of the game... Well, except for my PnP group, of course, but those heard of it through me.

Well, only one friend and I played the game (in my circle of friends.) And not wanting to derail the thread but we both didn't stop because of the atrocious combat/gameplay or the completely messed up balancing or any of the various other enervating issues but because of gamebreaking bugs. Well, I'm actually not sure if it was a bug with me but I couldn't continue and at that point I didn't want to either.
I never understood what so many codexers see in that game.
But this is about Afterfall which will be extremely complex but completely bug-free with enticing gameplay, eh? ;)

A great setting and pretty much the greatest example of choices and consequences in an RPG EVAR. It also happens to be my favorite RPG.

    On topic:
The game looks promising. Hopefully these guys can deliver.

    ....

the interview and infos on their site concerning gameplay sound really good, but i ve heard the same stuff many, many times before. except that in terms of hype-BS... they already match or even beat bethesda and carsten strehse....

what lowered my interest drastically was the godawful writing, story and world-descriptions on the site. maybe translations are to blame, i dunno but i felt like reading a 13 year old thinking up a new PnP campaign when browsing through that part of the english site.

but who knows, good luck to them anyways.... its not like F3 will have better story/world/writing either ^^

A decent interview, the very fact they are ambitious to create something memorable and seem to understand the basic principles of role-playing games is a good sign.

All that remains is to wish them luck. Hopefully, Afterfall won't turn into vaporware.

As rico pointed out, one of the [few] things that worries me somewhat is the writing, mostly on the website. Hopefully they'll take some greater care with the in-game writing, or at least amass the funds for a good translation.
