i don't have the energy anymore to do seperate entries for different platforms so i will just do for example: ppols of radiance (dos / pc-98) as a quick example and then do game box pic of dos version + dos screenshot then game box pic of pc-98 version + screenshot.

hello all! i found an apparently solid looking japanese wiz-clone in jap/english (not that much dialog apparently, it's pure dungeon crawling); he made it for PC first and that version if free for download but he also has android/iOS versions for sale. here is the link to the free PC game version of... absolutely nothing will probably come of it but yeah wiz emp 1 on pc is totes hexxable. i don't have the knowledge to do it (just insert gibberish into the files) but it feels oddly good to know it's possible.

Assuming that I only care about JRPG story a little bit and mostly that I just care about gameplay, should I go for Etrian Odyssey IV or just start at Untold 2?

Uh, Etrian Odyssey IV doesn't have a story. The only ones that technically count are the 2 Untold games - but they're hardly even there to begin with so it should hardly be a deciding factor. They're also not very good. Play the demos and figure it out for yourself.

EDIT: Though I suggest EOIV if you'll only play one.

Play EOIV, it is light on story and also the best for newcomers to the series. Mind you ''Story Mode'' with the premade characters is entirely optional in the Untolds, and you can still just roll your own party and go exploring without all that as in the originals. ''Light on story'' is a staple of the series.

Coven and labyrinth of refrain is coming out in a few weeks. I am not expecting much but at least more than those compile heart game...they haven't released much info or anything, I wonder if they'll delay the game again.

been playing Coven and Labyrinth of refrain a bit today. I actually really liked the first dungeon, nice maze overall with pits, poison thing, could destroy most wall...
second dungeon was a bit meh the first few zone(too much water maybe and not enough wall to destroy...), it's getting a bit better later in the dungeon, some door are locked but you find a way by destroying some wall...

the combat is nothing special, but at least it's not slow. but maybe later it can get crazy, you can have more than 5 character in your party later (5 leader with 3 character for each leader, so 20 total?)

we'll see how it is later in the game but so far it's ok, it's better than those compile heart dungeon crawler ...

So I've just unlocked the alchemy pot, you can power up items with this, I don't know how exactly the growth ect is, but you can dump all your garbage(which you'll accumulate a lot) to increase stats on gear.
I think you can also obtain some other item with this, haven't tried much the alchemy pot so far except powering up my stuff, but apparently I'll be able to get more bottle with this to create more character...

so alchemy should keep the game interesting.

Coven and labyrinth of refrain is better than class of heroes. it's not 'super hard', don't expect wizardry/elminage difficulty, but they did a lot of new things, which make it fresh.

i keep trying over and over to get into CoH 1 and 2 every couple of months and every damn time I stop playing them because you have to grind like 25 hours just to be able to buy a Dagger.
